Food culture in India has one of the most unique among the world. Food and eating habits are based on different parts, area, religion and region. India most of the population have vegetarian foods but some of the region has Non-Vegetarian foods like meat, chicken and fish. Mainly in India Women do preparation and cook food for their family. At last all responsibility goes on to the women. Family use to take heavy meal in breakfast as well as in evening. Generally Indian people used to eat by hands. Indian people used to eat spicy food. Each region used to eat as per their own way of cooking and cooking style (For e.g., In Punjab, dairy food product is consumed more).

Food culture in Canada is based on preference and choices. In Canada mostly people have their food in restaurants. Canadian foods is based on ‘’western’’ diet which is similar to European and American food. Mainly they depend on grain food, chicken, beef and ham. People in Canada eat non vegetarian food more than vegetarian food. During breakfast period they have food like are cooked eggs, fried bacon, fried potatoes, toasted bread, pancakes and syrup, cereals, or hot oatmeal. Canadian dinners will usually feature a large meat entire of some sort like chicken, ham & beef. They also take alcoholic drink with their dinner.

For Instance when I was traveling from India to Canada, when I arrive to Canada I was too hungry so I have gone to restaurant. As I doesn’t like Non vegetarian food so I ordered vegetarian food from the given menu i.e. The Pineapple Fried Rice. As I was waiting for the food and tome came up I got my food ordered quickly. The matter happened with me is that they have also included egg in my dish. So at last I have not eaten the food and my money got wasted. In India Egg is considered as non vegetarian food. Also food like Ham and beef are not consumed. In India, beef meat is not consumed because cow is worshipped in India. Also our Indian Government has prohibited meat of beef and ham. Also where I am residing i.e. Gujarat. Gujarat has also prohibited alcoholic drinks.
