Ellen Degeneres – Unique, Brave, and Inspiring Woman

Ellen DeGeneres is an Award-winning talk show host and an outstanding comedian. Some of you may know her as the voice of Dory on Finding Nemo, or even a game show host. Wherever you know her from, you must know that no matter what, Ellen will never give up on her dreams. Ellen was raised as a kid with her mom, Betty, who was a speech therapist and her father Elliot, who was a sailor. Ellen’s parents stayed together until she was 16 years old. Ellen graduated high school in 1976 from Atlanta High school After high school, she attended The University at New Orleans University for 2 years, however then dropped out and starting her passion for comedy. No matter what, Ellen never stopped being unique, brave, and inspiring.

Undoubtably, Ellen has a big heart and because of that she will never stop being unique. Ellen is unique in several ways. One of those ways is that she supports over 61 charities and foundations. Some of the biggest foundations she supports are to help save our environment such as the Ellen fund, which is saving the mountain gorillas and other animals. Ellen is also promoting education for everyone on her talk show. Ellen and her sponsors target and Shutterfly believe that education is an extremely important thing and are trying very hard to make sure that schools around her are striving to fill kid’s minds with significant knowledge. Ellen uses her show to spread awareness throughout the media about so many things such as climate change, animal endangerment, education, and so much more. Ellen always tries to make people happy and even when spreading awareness, she always has a smile on her face.

At any cost, Ellen will never stop fighting for what she believes in. When Ellen’s very first show got cancelled for her coming out as a lesbian, she was not even allowed to be the spokesperson for JCPenney. She fought to get her show back because she knew that she had the talent to do it. All because of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, she got an agent on her case from Improve Hollywood which she then got her talk show, The Ellen Show. Now, Ellen and Johnny Carson are close friends and because of that, Ellen is now an advocate for LGBTQ rights. Another reason why Ellen is a fighter, is because she does not stop fighting for the environment and the gorillas. To support the gorillas and the environment, Ellen has created and supported several funds including her own, The Ellen Fund. The last reason why Ellen is a fighter is because undoubtedly, she will never give up, she will never stop fighting for what she believes and knows is right. Ellen will never stop being a fighter because that is one of the best parts about her.

Lastly, Ellen will never stop being inspiring to people all over the world. Ellen is a great representor for the LGBTQ rights because she shows that you can be whoever you want to be, as long as you keep on trying and fighting for who you are and what you want to do in life, your dreams can come true. Another reason why Ellen is inspiring is because she is such a kind person and is always trying to put a smile on everyone’s face. On her show, she is never troubled, and she always shows that it is ok to be who you want to be, and that even know they are obnoxious, you will find people who support and love you. The last reason why Ellen is such an inspiring person is because she has won many awards. She has won over 50 awards by showing people how amazing, kind, and compassionate she is and has changed the hearts and minds of so many people. “Beauty is about being comfortable in your own skin. About knowing and accepting who you are.” 

Ellen DeGeneres will never stop being unique, a fighter, and inspiring. Even through hard times, Ellen fought through it, and after lots of fighting, showing all her unique features, and inspiring so many people, she finally got to where she wanted to be. Ellen DeGeneres will always be a great LGBTQ activist and an amazing person to look up to. Even when everyone wanted Ellen to just disappear, she always stood to the ground to get where she wanted to go, and to this day, Ellen is still fighting for her place on live television and in this world.
