How Social Media Brought The Love into My Life

Social media is something that most people use every day to stay connected to people or keep up with all the things going on in the world. Social media has its pros and cons but, in my opinion I think social media is such a great thing. Why you may ask? Well because through social media I met the love of my life, the guy that treats me like a queen, the man I plan to marry one day and start a family with. Now I’m gonna tell how it all started how social media brought the love of my life into my life.

One summer night I was on SnapChat viewing all of my friends’ stories seeing what they were up to during their day. This was something I did every night before I went to bed it was pretty much a daily thing for me. While I was going through SnapChat I see this notification pop up at the top of my screen saying “Christian B. has added you as a friend”. When I first saw this I was like who is this and why did they add me? So I Facetime my best friend K.B and ask her if she knows who this is and she told me that he was her older brothers friend and that he had seen me on her Snapchat and thought I was cute. So there I go while on FaceTime I put K.B on pause and go search him up on Facebook to check it out and see who he is well when I first saw his profile picture I thought he was pretty cute and handsome. Whenever I returned to the FaceTime screen there he was on K.B’s phone I was so shocked and shy because I didn’t expect him to be there. He was like “wassup” and me being all shy was like Hi! In a low voice! When he got off the screen I told K.B oh my gosh I didn’t expect him to be there she was like “yup he is here at my house and he wanted to say hi to you so I let him” I was like girl I got so shy and and nervous and then her brother walks into her room and tells K.B “ hey you should hook up Christian B and Layla they should start talking” so after that I ended up adding him as a friend on Snapchat at first I said didn’t wanna go out with him but as days passed we never talked or snapped each other.

After 2 months later I finally got the courage to snap him and believe me that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I had told him “Hey!!!” And then after a couple of minutes he finally replied back! Saying “Hey Beautiful”. Oh my gosh you don’t even know how happy I got because he called me beautiful and texted me back. From there on we started talking every single day and Facetime when we were going to be we also started a streak on Snapchat! We never hung out but until one day my friend Mayela was talking to Christian B’s friend so she was like “ come over and then me and you can sneak out tonight to go see the boys” at that time my parents didn’t know about him yet so I had to sneak out. I was scared at first to sneak out especially because I didn’t wanna get caught by the cops because Mayela was driving without a license and plus I didn’t want to get caught by her mom because she is one scary lady or get caught my my parents I would be in so much trouble if I had got caught ! So later on I went over to Mayelas house and we started getting all pretty up doing our make, hair and just trying to look good for the boys you know what girl doesn’t wanna look good.

After we finished getting dressed we asked the boys if we would could go over already and the boys said we could go over so we started to head out to go see them. When we’re sneaking out it was so scary and there was so much adrenaline going through my body while we were sneaking out. Whenever we got there it was such a big relief that we got there safe. When we were there it was awkward and weird so me and Mayela left I guess it was because we hadn’t really known each other for that long so it was awkward. Then one night me and her decided to sneak out again to meet them but we didn’t go in her car they had picked us up it was the best night ever. By this time we knew each other more so it wasn’t awkward. That night was the night I had my first kiss it was such an amazing night. It was already time for us to go home but then Mayela friend that he had got called out to go to a fire and at that time it was already four in the morning. We started worrying about if we don’t get home in time her mom will catch us and we have to find a way to get home we were just going crazy. Thankfully he came back at 5:30 am just in time to get us home early. After that night Christian and I started hanging out more and more. We grew this friendship that was great our friendship lasted for about 2 years. Later on he finally meet my parents and they liked him very much which I was so relieved and glad they had liked him. After that we finally made it official we were finally a couple. We have been together for 1 year and 3 months now and we are still going strong this guy has truly changed me for the better and has made me gain so much confidence in myself I am truly blessed that I have such an amazing boyfriend.
