Each individual has their own definition of boundaries, it’s quite beautiful. Some may think it’s what they want, while other define it as what is right. I hope simple definitions have allowed you to have a clear idea of boundaries. In the end, it’s society call, as a holism, we can change the imperfection in the world, the flaws as you might call it. Typically, the issues we as fellow humans hear everyday is quite upsetting. Racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, what else? Would society start judging people for things they cannot control? Oh that’s right, I’ve already listed them. However, I am not here to list down the things that bring down the image of the world, I'm here to suggest ways to help to make it an ideal place.
All these years, Marijuana has been classified as a drug and has been bashed and referred to in an negative way. It is only recently that they have discovered that this “dangerous” drug may actually save lives. I’m not fully suggesting that this drug can be the new Panadol, I’m stating that this drug can benefit so many people who suffer from incurable illnesses. But, unfortunately, society has classified us to believe that this drug harms us cause it changes the chemical reactions in the body.
The benefits of Marijuana includes: helping people with chronic pain those who suffer from an unfortunate incurable disease such as Parkinson. Marijuana is proven to be the only solution to show a great effect to those who suffer from the Parkinson disease. This drug is commonly used to ease pain and treating potentially life-threatening conditions (epilepsy). So far I have been biased and have only been supporting what i stand by but the drugs does have its disadvantages. Marijuana is still carelessly by teenagers. Obviously the drug can be used for non-medical purposes but not too much or it may lead to addiction and lower life satisfaction.
The earlier it is used in a person’s life, the very likely that they would be addicted to it. Now that i have discussed both sides to this topic, what else is left? My personal opinion and views. With the history of Alzheimer’s in my family this drug would benefit me greatly and has and will continue to affect thousands and thousands of families each year. This is the only effective solution for my family and I, specifically for my father. He is at a high point in life where he has a high risk of developing this. Including this sob story is not for me to receive pity from you, I'm just trying to express and show how serious these incurable diseases are and how beneficial this drug is. If conducted correctly and used well, everyone could benefit from this. Society should be open to new things and not live through life normally.
Normal is boring. Striding into a more different and more ideal world should be society’s goal. I shouldn’t be here discussing about this, once a person discovers something that benefit another one’s health after years and years of research, what do you do? You legalise it.
