My Future Job: Why I Want to Be a Kindergarten Teacher

My goal is to become a kindergarten teacher. As someone who enjoys listening and taking time with each person I have worked with, I believe that a career within nursing will allow me to reach an even higher standard in the future which will help me to keep my passion alive.

To further my wish in working with people, I volunteered at a school for children. Throughout this time spent there, I gained valuable experience in working with kids. In my previous role as a volunteer to a primary school, I combined a variety of teaching methods including lectures, role-playing, and group discussions. My desire to pursue a career in the care sector has grown due to my time spent with children.

First of all, it has always been my dream to become an educator, because teachers have a great impact on children’s lives. They shape the lives of young children and prepare them to become productive people in our community, and this kind of responsibilities keeps me motivated to become a great teacher. Even if it is very challenging, I consider that is also an extremely rewarding experience that helps me to broaden my understanding of working around and with children.

Secondly, school is where we spend the majority of our time as youngsters. Children start to develop relationships with people and I have always loved to make the path easier for young people and to give them the best start in life. This is the reason why I want to become a teacher. I want to create a learning atmosphere where children will feel safe and loved, because they are with teachers almost the entire day. Children can be easily influenced by what they see around them or what they hear. A teacher’s job is so important because he is the one who have to guide children through life and to teach them the most important things in life. As a teacher you have the ability to help them learn new skills and right ways of thinking that will be needed when they are out there in the adult world, because someday, these tiny humans that are in your class will be all grown up.

Beside that, being a teacher and working with kids makes you become one of the most patient person. You will understand that everyone has their own differences and develops at their own rate. The best part in this is that I can apply these things not only in the classroom, but to life in general.

I truly want to become a teacher to can make a positive difference on the future of kids. For me, it is the greatest challenge: to motivate the next generation to become lifelong learners. I have always been thankful to the educational system for implanting values in me and I feel responsible to give back what I have learnt and experienced over the years. This way I can accomplish my desire of enhancing the education system and in the same time I will be paying all back.

I honestly can not imagine spending the rest of my life doing anything else. I will have to spend hours making lesson plans, be up at the crack of dawn to get to school on time, and deal with a naughty kid or two but I know that my job is going to be very rewarding and it will bring me joy at the day of the day.

The desire to acquire necessary knowledge so I can perform a more involved role in the nursing sector, will keep me motivated to work and study to the highest standard which will allow me to make an even greater difference in the lives of children around me after I will graduate.
