The unemployment rate rose sharply during the Great Depression and reached its peak at the moment Franklin D. Roosevelt took office. As New Deal programs were enacted, the unemployment rate gradually lowered. ( Bureau of Labor Statistics) The new deal was a program where they set up to help the people who were struggling from the great depression. It helped them get a job to get money from. It helped them make parks, bridges and communities for their society. It also helped them go back to normal the way they were when the great depression did not exist. The New Deal impacted society by providing jobs for the people who were unemployed, it also established a number of welfare state programs and protective policies, with Social Security and labor regulations being its most influential legacies. Finally the New Deal affected society by trying to avoid a repetition of the stock market crash and bank failures in 1929.
One way the new deal affected society was that the New deal was a series of programs established by FDR to help American citizens recover from the great depression. The new deal also helped provide jobs for the people who were unemployed, this helped lower the unemployment during that time when unemployment was very high. In the text it says, over the next eight years, the government instituted a series of experimental projects and programs, known collectively as the New Deal( New Deal) Correspondingly my evidence does support my topic because it is saying that a series of experimental projects and programs was the new deal. It also supports my topic sentence because it is saying that the new deal was made to help americans recover from the great depression.
Another piece of evidence would be, the new deal aimed to restore some measure of dignity and prosperity to many Americans( New Deal) For this reason my evidence supports my topic sentence because in the topic sentence it says that the new deal helped americans recover from the great depression and in the evidence it says that it aimed to restore some measure of dignity and prosperity to all the americans who suffered from the great depression. This is why my evidence supports my topic sentence. Another piece of evidence would be that FDR Created the Works Progress Administration (WPA) to provide jobs for unemployed people. (New Deal) Evidently, in the topic sentence it said that the new deal also helped provide jobs for the people who were unemployed and in the evidence it says that FDR created the (WPA) to provide jobs for the unemployed people. This is why my evidence supports my topic sentence. In the final analysis.
The New deal was a series of programs established by FDR to help American citizens recover from the great depression and also created the (WPA) to help people get jobs and to lower the unemployment. Another way the New Deal affected society was that the New Deal established a number of welfare state programs and protective policies, with Social Security and labor regulations being its most influential legacies. In August, FDR signed the Social Security Act of 1935, which guaranteed pensions to millions of Americans, set up a system of unemployment insurance and stipulated that the federal government would help care for dependent children and the disabled. (History.com New Deal)
Evidently, in the topic sentence it says that FDR signed the social security act and it being one of its most influential legacies. I believe that this evidence does support my topic sentence. To revive industrial activity, the National Recovery Administration (NRA) was granted authority to help shape industrial codes governing trade practices, wages, hours, child labour, and collective bargaining(The Editors of Encyclopædia) As we have seen, my topic sentence says that labor regulations was one of its most influential legacies and in my evidence it talks about how they added the (NRA)and how helped shape industrial codes governing labor. That is why I believe that my evidence does support my topic sentence.
Over the next eight years, the government instituted a series of experimental projects and programs, known collectively as the New Deal(History.Com New Deal) Moreover, my topic sentence talks about how the New Deal established a number of welfare state programs and protective policies and my evidence says that the government instituted a series of experimental projects and programs for the new deal. This is why I believe that my evidence supports my topic sentence. Briefly, the New Deal established a number of welfare state programs and protective policies. FDR did this because he wanted to recover from the great depression and wanted America to get back to normal. The New Deal also affected society by trying to avoid a repetition of the stock market crash and bank failures in 1929. The New Deal also tried to regulate the nation’s financial hierarchy in order to avoid a repetition of the stock market crash of 1929 and the massive bank failures that followed. (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica)
Accordingly, my topic sentence is saying that The New Deal tried to avoid the repetition of the stock market crash and massive bank failures in 1929 and in the evidence it explains all of that in there. This is why I think that my evidence does support my topic sentence. Another piece of evidence would be, The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation(FDIC) granted government insurance for bank deposits in member banks of the Federal Reserve System, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was formed to protect the investing public from fraudulent stock-market practices. (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica) In this way, my evidence does support my topic sentence because in the evidence it talks about how they formed the (FDIC) and the (SEC) to protect the investing public from fraudulent stock market practices. That all supports my topic.
The last and final piece of evidence would be, The New Deal stabilized the banks and cleaned up the financial mess left over from the Stock Market crash of 1929. (Walker and Brechin) In short, my evidence does support my topic sentence because it talks about how they fixed their banks and cleaned up the financial mess left over from the stock market crash in 1929 and in the topic it talks about how the New Deal fixed that problem. This is why I think that my evidence does support my topic sentence. To summarize, The New Deal affected society by trying to avoid what happened in 1929 which was the stock market crash and the massive bank failures which thankfully did actually fix. The New Deal affected society by providing jobs for the people who were unemployed, established a number of welfare state programs and protective policies, and lastly tried to avoid the repetition of the stock market crash and massive bank failures in 1929. The New Deal provided jobs for the unemployed people, established welfare programs and tried to avoid the stock market crash and massive bank failures from happening again. In the end, FDR created the New Deal and established a series of programs to help Americans recover from the great depression.
