One of the first acts that President George W. Bush established on January, 2001, was “No Child Left Behind Act” which the central point was to teach every single student the same subjects, but make sure they understood as a whole course as a group not only a couple of students. As a result, the president taught that we would do better as a state and will also be better educated. In addition, he also proposed in this act for school to accept the standardize test so that we would known how student came in and what was the progress obtain in the course. The period a student had to be in class the course need to be covered and day off student will have covered the act. The goal was also to increase the test higher and so that we would grow as a state with better education.
Although the ideas of the acts are great I personal think that it violates our constitutional rights. Next, I also think that every head is his own world; this means that every individual is different, and is capable of different things. Standardized test aren’t the best because they are created by people that presume students to have learn certain topics, and who for the most part students were never showed the concepts of the topic being covered in those standardized test. Which in my point of view those topics only cover a certain amount of what is important. Test are important they could show the state what students learn. But this all have to be created by the instructor themselves so that they could known that everything being in the test i9s what they really y covered and people that do poor is because they didn’t put attention or basically the topic was not explain that well.
Next, the “No Child Left Behind” is a great idea I think that it has to be modify to a certain point where it is adequate for everyone in the state. It’s a great concept that will maybe help a lot of people in the education and also help them in their live it just has to be studied in different parts of the state although it’s the same country some states differ from each other. All standardized test have a cost and government don’t give the enough money to buy all the supplies plus the test. That would be another of the problems with these acts. In the video were President Obama said that in the industrial revolution the industry are not going to be employee people without a high school diploma and he also added that in the future people with only a high school diploma will have a very difficult time finding a job. So education will follow the economical crisis and have an impact on ways to obtain good jobs.
Finally, I really enjoyed the video o Barack Obama but the most part I enjoyed was when he said that he would accept any failure form any school in America, also he would try and make a form to make education more effectively. Overall, these acts would work a lot better if this act was rethought and think carefully on how it would work best for every state. I agree and disagree in some point on the “No Child Left Behind” but I agree on the help the whole state need to be look as a great state with great education. With one of the things I disagree in this act is how people have to be categories as bilinguals and be moved to separate classes to work in their defects and other student have the freedom of obtaining other subjects that aren’t necessary.
