Personal Account of a Day Gone Wrong

Have you ever been stuck on a curb? One cloudy afternoon, I went shopping at the New Point Mall , and was pulling out of the parking lot when my best friend called. She told me she had some shocking news and that was the beginning of my terrible day.

Macy’s was having a huge sale. I needed some new shoes. I met up with my friends at the entrance. We talked and looked at the shoes of all styles. Unfortunately, they did not have my size. My day started taking a turn for the worst. My friends and I decided to go have a latte, only to discover that I had forgotten my wallet at home. Since I did not have my wallet, or any money, I Decided to Leave.

While walking to the car in the parking lot, I received a call from my best friend. Initially, I did not want to answer because I was in a bad mood but she was relentless. Eventually, I answered. I heard my friend scream “You did this to me!” I was confused. I asked her to explain what I did to her. She just shouted, “I’m in labor!” Then she asked me, “Can you meet me at the hospital?” “Sure, I’m on my way” I told her. I wanted to get to the hospital as quickly as possible, so I rushed to the car and put it in reverse or so I thought. As I hit the gas I heard a loud clank and got scared.

I immediately got out of the car and realized what I had done. Instead of going in reverse, I had put the car in drive and I went flying over the curb! My brand new baby was now stuck on the curb. I needed a tow truck, but I had left my wallet at home.

I Ended up missing the birth of my best friends baby, and was unable to find shoes in my size. Then, I left my wallet and could not pay for a latte. My car ended up on a curb for a few days. It just wasn’t my day.
