A myth about Poseidon is called “The Tale of Poseidon and Medusa”. Before Medusa had snakes in her hair and could turn people into stone she was a beautiful maiden. One day Poseidon was looking for new romance and saw Medusa in the loving sun. She took a promise of chasity and didn’t have no interest in Poseidon but that didn’t stop Poseidon in any way. As the time went by he tried “wooing” her but didn’t work so he got angry and tried taking her with force. She ran to the temple of Athens, wrapped herself in gold and plead for help but her wishes were unanswered. So when Poseidon found her he took her and had her way with her and left her there. When Athens found out she punished Medusa and turned her into a creature with snakes as hair with golden wings and whoever looked at her turned into stone. As the result she had two children by Poseidon one was a horse named Pegasus and a man with a giant stature named Chrysaor.
