Development of any study puts into consideration the objectives that need to be considered in ensuring that there is successful engagement under which a given research process can be successful. Therefore there is need to ensure that there is development of an effective methodology that can form the framework under which the whole process can be successful. The study in this as focuses on dog training where the study seeks to determine performance in agility school for a dog taught by a professional trainer and the dog that is taught by its owner. Therefore, the focus on this case will be based on two groups under which it will be possible to have significant success within the research process.

The study design that would be appropriate in this case with be experimental design where two groups will be investigated based on longitudinal study focus on the two groups and be able to understand the effective performance in agility school based on any of the strategy that is considered. Between subject experimental research design will ensure that there is focus on development process under which it would be possible to improve the overall focus where it would be key to find the most appropriate outcome (Charness, Gneezy, & Kuhn, 2012).

The longitudinal study focus in this case will aim to create a better focus on the best possible research process over time since in this case there is need to have a focus on the development of the intervention considered before the elapse of the time considered for the study,. This is key in ensuring that the outcomes are well analyzed based on specific considerations that have been put in place. It is important to understand that the two groups that are being considered in this case are independent and thus they are very different where it would be possible to have unique understanding and its overall development process (Pilegard & Mayer, 2015).

The underlying fact that need to be considered in ensuring that there is successful research development process. The two groups need to be developed on equal understanding under which it would be possible to understand the development process based on the type of training that is considered in each of the cases. The dogs that are being trained in this case must have equal underlying skills under which it would be possible to have an improved environment where the outcomes that are obtained can be considered to represent the best focus regarding professional trainer focus and owner focus (Santos, Gehm, & Hunziker, 2011).

The design that I have incorporated in this case is between subject experimental designs. The reason why I focused on this design is based on the need to understand clearly the changes that the dogs are likely to have over time based on the training engagement that they put in place. It will be crucial to ensure that there is a better development process under which the two groups can be considered to have a greater focus and understanding on what needs to be considered and achieved at the completion of the study research process. The research involves the two groups will be done simultaneously and involves two groups, which means that the requirement to apply this design have been met. Therefore developing this research based on this approach will provide a better understanding on the outcomes that are developed over time (Pilegard & Mayer, 2015).
