Many people loves to sing whether they have those angelic-lovely voice or unexplainable, extraordinary, out this world, unpleasant voice. Some used to sing in karaoke then even the lyrics are on the screen still the way they sing that song is horrible. While some people like your friends have the guts to sing in front of you then you will be confused if they were truly singing or they are arguing with someone. It’s true that many of us loves to sing even though singing doesn’t love us. Singing is life.But did you know that there are so many benefits in just simply singing?

Consider all the benefits of singing and you will never stop singing again. A research conducted at the University of Frankfurt states that singing strengthens the immune system. The study included testing professional choir members’ blood before and after an hour-long rehearsal singing Mozart’s “Requiem”. The researchers noticed that in most cases, the amount of proteins in the immune system that function as antibodies, known as Immunoglobulin A, were significantly higher immediately after the rehearsal. The same increases were not observed after the choir members passively listened to music.

Also, according to Daily Mail Online. Singing helps with sleep. If you’re having a hard time in sleeping because you always hear someone in your house snoring every night, your bad nights will come to an end my friend. Singing can help in strengthening throat and palate muscles, which helps stop snoring. Also snoring is a serious ailment because it causes you to pause your breathing while you are sleeping and may occur 30 times in an hour. But in just simply singing , your snoring will turn into a good night sleeping. But if I am going to choose what is the most beneficial thing that singing can give to a person, I’m going to choose its mental and emotional benefits.

Singing is a natural anti-depressant. It helps in releasing endorphins, the chemical from the brain that can make a person feel good and uplifted. Also known as the happy hormones. In addition, scientists distinguished a small organ in the ear called the sacculus, which reacts to the frequencies made by singing. The reaction makes a quick feeling of pleasure, regardless to what the singing sounds like. That, as well as singing can basically take your mind off the day’s inconveniences to boost your mood.

Also singing lowers the level of stress. Any form of making music is relaxing. The stored muscle tension can be released by just simply singing. Singing also kills the stress hormone called cortisol in our body and in that way, singing can decrease the level of stress in our body.Lastly, singing improves mental alertness. It helps in improving the blood circulation and helps also in oxygenating our blood stream, that’s good because an oxygenated blood stream allow more oxygen to reach our brain. This improves mental alertness, concentration and memory. The Alzheimer’s Society has even established a “Singing for the Brain” service to help people with dementia and Alzheimer’s maintain their memories.Those are just some of the hundreds of benefits that singing can bring to us.
