Some Interesting Facts About Egypt

Egypt is an interesting and a great country. The things about this country are simply amazing.

This country is categorized as a feminine society. It is a collectivist society. Which means leaders tend to work in groups and have a higher goal that they are working towards. Feminine society is one where the quality of life is the sign of success and standing out from the crowd is not admirable. The focus is on " working in order to live". Managers strive for consensus, people value equality, solidarity, and quality in their working lives. ( Elsaid, 2018)

Conflicts are resolved by compromise and negotiation. Incentives such as free time and flexibility are favored. Focus on well-being, status is not shown. An effective manager is a supportive one and decision making is achieved through involvement. ( Elsaid, 2018).

Egypt appears to have the lowest score on assertiveness, and has relatively lower scores on uncertainty avoidance, social collectivism, future orientation, and gender egalitarianism. High score in group collectivism, and has relatively high scores on performance orientation, power distance, and humane orientation. In terms of the desires to change the culture, Egyptians are most interested in reducing the power distance and increasing the future orientation aspects of the societal culture. ( Elsaid, 2018).

Egypt scores high on this dimension which means that people accept a hierarchical order in which everybody has a place and which needs no further justification. Hexarchy in an organization is seen as reflecting inherent inequalities, centralization is popular, subordinates expect to be told what to do and the ideal boss is a benevolent autocrat. ( Hofstede, 2001)

Egypt has ranked the ten worst among the countries for gender equality.The gap between men and women has closed by four percent. Wages of equality and labor have closed only by three percent within the last ten years.( Hofstede, 2001).
