The public and private sphere presents a difference of opinion and thought. For one to understand the developing difference between these two areas creates a serious conflict of understanding. In many views, students tend to take stands about what is public and private based on their everyday interactions. Some students hold the opinion that public universities develop and grow with the drive from public resources. Similarly, other students hold the view that the private universities utilize resources from the privately owned entities. In lieu of these understandings, it is relevant to distinguish the true meaning of the two concepts as observed from the student and University point of view.

Students in the public universities tend to attend to the community environments. Here, the students come from public high schools and attend local sponsored university supported by the federal government. In this view, the structure of the universities, the management, and the student composition run from the locality setting. In the same line of reasoning, the private universities also employ staff members from distant localities, they adopt management policies like the corporate firms, and they acquire resources from self-established business entities. Given the weight of the matter, there is a developing distinction between the public and private university life even at the university level (Zhang, 2016).

Students pursuing academic careers in the private universities tend to hold viewpoints divergent to the public universities. According to private university research, these students understand that their university obligations differ from those of the public universities. For instance, they invest using strategies that attract funding from the private sector. This feature of the universities is distinct away from the public ones that obtain state-sponsored funding. Importantly, governments exempt private university in terms of taxations since they do not rely on public sources of funding. Therefore, a student in a private based university is able to benefit from a financial aid that comes in the form of extensive tax supported. These programs help to finance tuition and fees for the private institutions.

The public universities have to pay taxes to their governments since they earn from the public resources. In this regard, a student in the public university will benefit from the funding by the government which means that they do not pay tuition fees. In some cases where they pay the tuition fees, it comes at a lower pricing. Therefore, the government or public can dictate the nature of operations for the public universities in many instances. In some way, the public universities are a responsibility of the local community and the federal state. This feature of these varsities is entirely different from the private universities which rely on stakeholders’ support (Zijian & et.al, 2017).

A student in the public university sphere can benefit during their school years since they have the support of the taxpayer. This statement implies that the students do not worry about funding that easily comes from the taxpayers. Then again, the public university students also benefit from the assured compensation that will come through government taxation of their universities. Conversely, the private university students worry about the terms of trade when planning for funding. The management in the private university has to create programs and sell shares to stakeholders that can easily pump money into their systems. Thus, a private university student will enjoy the benefits of the funding only if the donors agree with the management on the payment terms.

Private universities tend to experience more opportunities than private universities. In that point of view, private universities are more serious in terms of teaching and provision of internship programs. Ideally, the governance between public and private varsities is the transnational connection that is related with the ideology of the decision that is conducted by the governing bodies in the various universities in relation to the American societies.
