The Disadvantages of 'No Homework Policy'

'Should we experience the usual?', we, individuals usually ask what is the next chapter in our lives, but what we know is that it was never new to us- to be completely clueless about tomorrow on our own, since our answer remains firm. We always tell that we have no idea- but in reality it is the education who chose us, and not the other way around. Education is such an extension of our navel, wherein as we have the exposure in the modern world, it is also the time where our rights to study pops out. We simply trusted education, and thankfully it never let us down yet instead it will serve as our passageway towards achievements. Stoners, over-achievers and in-betweeners were crammed in every direction. In behalf of education, we are taking responsibility and thinking about how many paper works such as home works, research paper and projects should be done and make our lives challenging, most of the time. Homework is a school requirement or duty which is done at home, an issue related to this which is the 'No Homework Policy' is propose to be implemented within the Philippines, wherein it seeks to remove homework as a requirement and have Kinder to Grade 12 students do academic activities solely within school premises, at this point I'm not in favor with this policy. This paper will discuss the importance of homework and will state the disadvantages of 'No Homework Policy'.

A seed and sprinkler demonstrates the relationship between students and homework wherein a seed will continue to grow productive as long as there is a sprinkler or the homework which that will make a seed, the students to grow full of learnings, simply homework have significant role in each of everyone's life. First, it contributes to personal growth of an individual, not only in academics but also to their values and right conduct. In subjects all about personality, some of the homework have the purpose to make students have the realization and finally examine who and what kind of personality they have, by this, curiosity will drive them to think critically and end up with plans of what the characteristics that they will change or improve. It is better to be educated than to be uneducated, through homework, students will have the perseverance in accomplishing schoolwork no matter how many and difficult it is, so, in order to finish it not on, but before the time, time management will be practice, by this we can handle homework and personal matters without any hassle. Homework are the continuation of our challenges as part of life, eventhough there is difficulty in coping it, students will surely gain new opportunities just as discovering their talents and abilities such as in group performance of acting, at first some of them have the fear and negative mindset that they can't even speak a word, but as they train themselves, they are able to reach out expertise and play different roles at different venues. Studying is not only a responsibility but can also be a student's hobby wherein they never treat homework even at weekend as burden, and they are most likely to be stress free because they have something leisure activities that makes them to feel joyful and their stock knowledge will never be stack because learnings are always be refresh in their minds. There are students who are very much willing and comfortable to make productive outputs at home, since at home, they reach the quiet and peaceful surrounding without distractions therefore homework is their opportunity to focus and give their best shots, such as doing art projects, when they are at home, the materials needed are easy to find and provide. On the other side, home is the best destination in every human's life wherein they can interact and show commitment to their family members, in fact, not all family is perfect, so homework are the perfect way to tie them close together since it is a way that creates bond between one another and communication is trained, homework are isn't true that it is just a destruction in different ways, based on my experience, my parents always asked me how is my school, and if I have the difficulty in answering homework, eventhough they are undergraduate they help me, they also conduct research and share their perceptions, bond is not what I only gained, we also learned from each other and the best thing is the motivation that in every difficulty I faced I'm not alone anymore. What will happen to a seed if there is no sprinkler? 

Absolutely the seed that has no sprinkler or the “No Homework Policy' it will not be productive and there is the possibility that its fruit or the learnings may die or be unknown, so I'm not in favor and it is not right to banned homework because it will be a great loss as one of the factors that will guide and force every student to be creative and innovative. At some point, it will ruin the essence of education, because as long as you are a student, you need not to complain but to do everything, homework is not a snatcher of opportunity to enjoy the beauty of life, because there are times for study and for what we call as the ease of life. The main thing, if the 'No Homework Policy' is officially implemented, there will be no retention of lessons, in a way that if student goes out from school, some of learnings are also goes out and left in school, because if there are no homework, they will not reminisce the lesson that they have tackled, and will not try to search for another information about such thing. The next hurtful thing is that the time that must be put in studying and putting efforts on their homework, they will have too much time in using gadgets which is not good mostly if they consume it in browsing social media to know what is on trend not discovering trend documentaries or information and instead in enriching their intellectual skills they will empower their heroes in different online games which is worst. On the other side, as long as there is much free time, there are much things that students can do, in this generation, being conservative is continuously getting change, most teenagers love to went to different places and drunk with their friends, so homework as barrier will be gone, increased of students will take the wrong path and will have unreliable tomorrow such as teenage pregnancy if they let theirs lives busy to such waste things. If there will be no homework, what will be the future of young Filipinos? there is the possibility that they will become less prepared, since at the first place, they didn't the practice of being a multi-tasker, how they can handle the challenges that they may face in the next chapter of their lives, “No Homework Policy' is not for free time, in fact it is the reason why present and future generation will become lazy not only in simple things but also in making their lives essential. Lastly, act like farmers who is wanting for more harvest, students must strive for more learnings by loving in a way of giving solution to different calamities such as the El Nińo and El Nińa, the homework no matter how hard and many it is.

Let's just think of it, what will be the outcome of a seed if it is being watered and cared but in a room only, specifically it will grow but not totally completely because there is no sunlight, meaning if a student only be productive and study in a room within school, they will learn but insufficient because there will be no sunlight or the other person that will help and support them especially their family. In the end, 'No Homework Policy' must be restate into 'Homework Policy' because it's reason is never be for bad sake, but to be competitive at every moment at all times.
