The Gun Control Debate: The Left's Perspective on Gun Laws

First off let's start off with why the Left (Democrats, Progressives, Socialists, Communists) want to have very strict and or common sense gun laws. The Left wants gun laws because they think gun laws actually work they think gun laws actually stop crime, they think gun violence or overall violence can be stopped, but in fact none of those are true. Every time a mainstream shooting or mass shooting occurs the Left goes crazy for pushing more gun laws, they (Leftists) always say more “common sense” gun laws/reform but in fact every single gun law/regulation is unconstitutional. “Shall not be infringed!” - Second Amendment. Meaning, the Right To Bear Arms (right to have guns) shall not be obstructed.

It's proven by gun statistics that an increase in gun laws/regulation has no correlation with a decrease in overall violence, in fact when there are less gun laws/regulation almost to none the overall crime rate is very low. The left can never point out where gun laws/regulations or even gun bans actually worked or work. Chicago has one of the nation's strictest gun laws/regulation. It is almost impossible to purchase a gun, but yet Chicago has one of the highest crime rate in the nation. In fact, every state/city that has a very tough grip on gun laws/regulation has a higher crime rate than a state or city with less gun laws or regulations.

The left knows these stats are true, but why do they still preach for more gun laws/regulations? It’s actually a simple answer, it may seem radical, but it's the truth, the left wants an increase in gun laws even though they know it doesn’t work because they want to disarm the populist. The left has already tried to limit the First Amendment in order to “protect” others from “hate speech” even though hate speech doesn't exist, they constantly censor the Right (Conservatives, Republicans, Far Right, Alt Right) If this isn't enough to prove that the left is actually trying to repeal the second or even go after our guns then read this. Many leftists activist are calling for gun bans and more gun laws. The left wants to ban all “Assault Rifles” even though the assault rifle term is very vague, and even the term doesn’t exist because a gun is simply designed as a deterrent and to defend not attack, this logic of calling an object assault before it's even used is ridiculous because assault means to be past tense not present. If someone gets beat up by a bat, is it called “assault bat” or just “bat”?

Many left wing politicians and activists always point out to Australia's “gun buyback” program, the Australian government only confiscated about 700,000. In fact, that wouldn’t work within the US. The US simply has to many guns (up to 300 plus million) it wouldn’t work in the US as effectively because the confiscation will lead to a flood of guns into the black market.
