There are many walks and views of life in a world that is as abundant as Earth. Therefore, there are plenty of different origin stories that people have devout and unbreakable faith in. Focusing on a Christian worldview, from a biblical perspective God created the universe from nothing. From utter nothingness, to a vast and unknown universe, God brought humans into being in order to spread his divine teachings and fill the world with light. God has created everything, each with its own balance. He conceived light and counteracted it with the darkness, He sought to grace His children with harmony and established calamity. Out of all his creations, God birthed humans to resemble his likeness which is a central idea to the biblical worldview.
Humans were created to live their lives accordingly through Gods design. With their inhabitance of Earth, they are meant to carry out Gods divine plan and care for all beings under His authority. There is no real question of the disparity between mankind and animals. As humans were created in the visage of God and foster a tangible relationship with Him, they are wiser than the lifeforms that were not able to champion an affiliation with their creator. Although the relationship between God and His children account for their elevation above simpler lifeforms, it is humanities duty to their Lord to care for all His creations. This idea is important in order to understand the meaning of human existence and how they must live harmoniously alongside every one of Gods conceptions.
There is a relevant and unalterable parallel between the reason God created humans and their purpose on Earth which is to intimately know God in order to reach salvation. Although humans resemble Gods perfect nature, they are shrouded in corruption and sin. Humans will never achieve perfection as they were created to err and are tempted with sinful desires, but through Christ’s love they will one day reach a likeness of Gods perfection through His promise of eternal salvation. Man was created in sin in order to magnify Gods unbound mercy and His amazing grace by sending Jesus Christ to restore man’s lost relationship with God. There is no way for humans to completely repent their sins as they were created in sin and the only one true way of washing away such corruption is through death where they will live eternally with their Lord. Christians know that they cannot live without sin, yet there is a divine incentive at the end of their journey that will lead them to the purest relationship that one can hold with their creator.
Although to err is human, and to be human is to live in sin, Christians follow a direct worldview of Gods teachings that allow for them to have an outlined moral compass that will lead them on the path to salvation. Out of all of Gods works, humans were fabricated in a way that established them to be holy as their father is holy. Despite the fact that they are veiled in sin and tempted by the things that swarm around them in an imperfect world, they must consecrate themselves in order to live perfectly through Gods vision of a unified holiness. Christian teachings value morals and ethics in a manner that is akin to the qualities of God, as humans can never fully reach the likeness of God, they must follow His commandments justly to fulfill the holy standard. These set of rules that Christians follow are Gods ideals on how to live a holy and righteous life as He, Himself, is holy and righteous. By following the lessons portrayed in the bible through God, humanity follows the divine standard of what is right and wrong so that they may be able to gain salvation in the afterlife.
The understanding of morality is deeply entrenched in the principles of heaven and hell. How men trek through life to successfully employ the lessons they have received from God allows them to do work that is good so that they may one day be saved. It may seem transparent, but existing in the essence of God and confessing His name as mankind’s hallowed savior will lead men to a saved life in heaven. Humans are faced with two tiers of death when their time comes. The first death, as stated previously, is a death caused by human’s dominion in sin that can only be redeemed if they lived morally and ethically as God deemed fit. This death leads to a life of everlasting freedom in the company of God. The second death is for those who strayed from the path of Gods lessons and were not able to accept God into their hearts and lived immorally, which consigns them to an afterlife in hell. All the concepts that have been illustrated prior form the basic foundation of a biblical worldview. These ideas and notions help Christians navigate their daily lives and aid them in perceiving the world around them.
In conclusion, the biblical worldview belief system greatly impacts every aspect of life from the way people should treat others to how they may interact with the environment around them. One of the most casually recited works of scripture outlines the importance of loving your neighbor as you love yourself, for all humans are created in the depiction of God and all humans are susceptible to sin. Knowing that all humans are sinners in the eyes of God, it is important that they treat others with the same tolerance that God has treated them. Everything has a meaning, each blade of grass, each insect and animal, and it is important that human’s value this and care for the life that surrounds them. All humans are created equal, and everything surrounding them is created with a purpose. Treating every living being with love and care is the most profound act of love that a human can display that allows them to be one step closer to their semblance of Gods visage.
