Are you a food lover? Do you like science? Are you looking for a career but can't find one? If you answered yes to all those questions then the career you should consider is a food scientist. When farmers cultivate fruits and vegetables or before a food product such as, cereal or meat is being shipped off to groceries stores they have to go through an inspection process and they have to be approved to ensure that whatever people are consuming won't cause any sicknesses or diseases nor do any harm to their body's. The people who do these inspections are called food scientists.

Food scientists are not only the people who inspect and ensure a product is good to be shipped off, but they also research food and different products using scientific properties such as, physical, chemical and biological properties to improve quality of foods and to make it more sanitary and healthy. They are also responsible for making sure the foods reach a certain standard which is created by the government and to find new ways to manufacture the food and to produce new foods. If you are considering pursuing a career as a food scientist it's a good field to be in and requires it also pays $65,000 yearly with a good a good demand rate in jobs.

To become a food scientist you must complete high school and get your diploma, you must obtain a university degree (masters, bachelors, doctoral) and must study either agricultural studies, food science and technology or, food sciences. Once you graduate and find a job relating to food science then the place you work at will provide training and extra courses to further enhance your capabilities and knowledge. No other certifications are required unless the company you work for requires one such as food handling. The company will provide the information or courses on how to obtain any additional certification. Degrees in food science and secondary education is a must in order to enter this field. A career path that's also similar to food scientist is a food analyst.

Food scientists are important throughout our society and they have both positive and negative impacts. Some positives are that they ensure many food products are healthy and good for our bodies and find diseases that could lead to outbreaks and report em. With positives, unfortunately, comes negatives. The negatives of this job are that they hide many things we don't know about our food things such as the GMO’S and the chemicals and preservatives used to keep food longer. And when making these foods they put things in the foods that do have some bad effects on us and some food scientists do not care about what they put in foods or what’s healthy or unhealthy because they also have to make sure that the market stays stable. If they don't do certain things to food companies will eventually start to lose money which then leads to less profit and less manufacturing. But imagine if this job didn't exist. Imagine how corrupted the food industry would be and what would happen. There would probably be even more sicknesses and diseases breaking out leading to an increase of more deaths and that's the important issue because it already been a problem and imagine now you have absolutely no people in our industry look after the food we put into our systems and vene more people dying. The government will eventually step in and will have to find a solution or do something to stop the death toll from increasing even more. The only solution I see is to get farmers to replace the food scientists and pay them to that job because they already have sufficient knowledge on how to grow food where it comes from and the best way to avoid sickness and keep food long without preservatives and chemicals and they would get paid by the government to do this job.

Unfortunately I did not find any famous food scientists who've made any contribution what so ever in the food science industry many of the research is done in U.S and Canada does export the majority of its food from across the world.
