The Reasons Why Neonatologist is My Dream Job

My dream job is to be a Neonatologist. Ever since I was twelve years old and started to realize what I wanted to be in life, it was life-changing. I have always had the idea to have a career that helps others. I wanted to become either a doctor or a nurse, but I was not quite of what I wanted to specialize in. Recently I discovered what I want to specialize in.

Neonatology is what I want to specialize in. Just the thought of helping these babies feels very rewarding. There are several things I want to accomplish in the future and many of them are goals in life. I would like to own a house in the future. With this house, I would like to move my family there because they deserve anything that I have. My family has done so much for me, that it would be just right to give back to them as well. Although my family is not rich, they have always tried to give me and my brother everything we needed. Even though times were sometimes rough, we would always have each other’s backs. My family always and now still encourage me to do my best and never give up on my dreams. That is what has motivated me to keep on striving and moving forward to this day and I will continue to do so. Also, I would like to start a family when I am education-wise, mentally, and financially stable. If I was not ready to have a family, then the children would be the ones that suffer in this world. I would have to be prepared through education because that will be my job and how I will provide for my family.

Being educationally prepared will show my children that education is a very important part of their lives. Being mentally prepared to have a child is extremely important as well. Because you have to be willing to give this baby your full attention and all of your love, so the baby can live a happy and healthy life. Lastly, I would have to be financially stable to pay all the expenses along with my partner. Expenses for a child can be quite expensive nowadays. Income is not that important to me because as long as I have enough money to care for myself and my family everything will be alright. If I ever do have a lot of money, this money would go to a charity that helps the poor. My family, especially my mother, are always thinking about giving back. They do this because we never know what that person might be going through. Maybe by helping them might just make their day a little brighter.

Lastly, dream possession that I would like to have is my own clinic dedicated to newborns. I would like to open this clinic in Ecuador, mainly because my family is there. The times I have visited Ecuador, I have noticed something very odd. That there are not enough clinics near small cities or towns in Ecuador. If you live in a small town and you are going in labor you would have to drive about 45 minutes to an hour to reach a clinic or hospital if you are lucky. This is devastating because both the mother and the baby would not be able to have the reassurance that they have immediate care. Because a “nearby” clinic or hospital is extremely far away.
