The Significance of Accomplishment in a Person’s Life

An important accomplishment in a person’s life is a big step of the road of success, it lightens the way a person takes and motivates him towards the goal, and it builds the person’s life. Without accomplishments a person’s life will be meaningless and unimportant. There are many types of accomplishments such as: educational, professional, athletic, and volunteering accomplishments. To accomplish something you wish, you will need to take several steps, but before any of them you must be persistent, ambitious, and have patient about it. These steps are: good planning, be positive, choose right and strong focus, take the first step and don’t delay or postpone and if you succeed in your first step take the second and so on until the end. And by that you reached your target and made an accomplishment. But when finally, you reach your target and accomplish your goal don’t ever stop, you must determine higher goals and targets and don’t suffice with the past ones.

In my personal life, I joined a group belonging to my church that offers services for old people or people who need help such as the handicapped. We have been to an elderly house every week for a couple of months and supported the people there morally and psychologically. As these people there feel lonely and depressed because they don’t have anybody to talk to about their problems, we talked to them and accompanied them. We gave them feelings of kindness. It’s great because you make them feel that somebody is concerned about them. It was such a great experience and it is considered an accomplishment in my life, as it was a goal I planned for and didn’t postpone it. It had many advantages on me, as I felt that I made a humanitarian service and made someone happy. It increased my confidence, making me proud of myself, and making me feel as an adult as I realized that I’m not still in my childhood playing, but I became in the way to the adulthood and became useful for my community. The pleasure that I saw in the eyes and the smile on the face of those elderly people made me realize how much of a big difference I can make. Everyone has to give a part of their time for volunteering and for charity and don’t say it is a waste of time or effort because it isn’t, it’s an accomplishment.

So, what I want to tell you that an accomplishment doesn’t only have a personal benefit but can have an effect on somebody else, don’t be lazy or hesitate to do anything important and can benefit you and your community or society. Dreams aren’t impossible, obstacles aren’t important to prevent you from accomplishing something you want, if you fail try again and again until succeeding, don’t give up. It’s your choice to accomplish or not.
