Imagine a team formulating operation for the unequivocal worst and finding out that they had nothing to worry about the whole time. Well, that’s exactly happened with the Scottish police officers who went through the situation when they received a panic call about a wild tiger on someone’s property on February 4, 2018. How would you respond if you spot a tiger resting around on your farm? Maybe you become frightened and nervous. The similar incident happened with a farmer in Scotland when he spotted a mighty tiger lazing on his farm.
After spotting the beast inside his farm, he shuddered with fright and frantically called cops to report a tiger in his cowshed. This sparked an armed police standoff in the area. Bruce Grubb, 24, was throwing a housewarming party when he spotted the bizarre sight and called the police, fearing his pregnant cows were about to be killed and eaten by the beast. A team of police officers from North East Police Division in Scotland’s Aberdeenshire hit the spot immediately but found an embarrassing situation after they discovered that the Tiger was not real on Saturday night. Now “I feel a bit silly for calling the police, but I thought it was a real emergency,” he told the Scottish Sun. “I had absolutely no doubt it was real. I got a hell of a scare.”
According to the news reports, Peterhead Inspector George Cordiner said, “We received a call from an extremely concerned member of the public late on Saturday evening with regards to a wild animal being loose in the grounds of a farm in the Hatton area.” “It’s true- our officers had a roaring shift on Saturday night,” the North East Police Division wrote in a Facebook. Officers arrived at the scene but remained in their vehicles to figure out the best strategy, the Scottish Sun reported. “I had absolutely no doubt it was real, “Grubb told the newspaper. “I got a hell of a scare. I was worried it was going to eat all my cows before police managed to shoot it. “Despite the false alarm, police praised Grubb’s decision to make the call when he thought he was in danger. “We appreciate that it was a false call made with genuinely good intent,” Cordiner said.
As soon as the news touched the Indian land, the desi Twitter Warriors exploded. They tuned their inner Karni Sena vigilantism and bombarded the police standoff with Padmavat references. Tiger Zinda Nahi Hai and much more taglines were produced. The picture of the stuffed tiger has now become a hit meme on Indian Twitter. Renowned author Chetan Bhagat Tweeted,”45 minutes? Like, it took 45 minutes for someone to say ‘Sir, his Nahi Raha bilkul vaise’”?
