Radio has been around for over a century, and even with the rise of digital media, it is still a powerful medium. Radio advertisements provide businesses an affordable mean to establish brand recognition to a target market. Additionally, advertisers use radio advertisement which incorporates to vehicles to determine and create an impact to a certain target audience.

According to Nielsen Catalina Solutions, “For advertisers, radio is worth listening to”. Radio commercial has a larger audience that is why it is an effective medium that is why it has been successful in attracting the target audience, from construction workers to businessmen. Listeners consistently listen and switch on the radio while driving for almost every vehicles comes with a built-in radio.

Numerous of people listen to the radio while commuting or driving. This was proved in research by Dr. Ahmed that 70% listen to the radio while driving (2010). Promotions through radio advertisements help listeners to acquire information that affect their buying decision, and even recommend them tofriends and family.

The buying behavior of consumer in response to radio commercials, according to Rajagopal in 2008 is processed by factors such as physical, cognitive and economic. Listeners of radio find the commercials on radio more appealing while disseminating the message. Commuters, according to the Edison Share of Ear Study, spend most of their time listening to radio in their cars. Mostcommuters or drivers choose traditional AM/FM radio station, rather than streaming to internet radio while traveling. Among those who listen to AM/FM station that plays commercials, most of them will stay on that radio station that they are listening, and choose to listen the commercial rather than switching it to other station.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) (2008) regulates "truth in advertising. " If the commercial makes claims like, "Eight out of ten doctors agree…. . " then advertisers should provide evidence in regards of the said claim. A regular advertisement disclaimer like food supplements is mandated and regulated strictly by the FTC.

Disclaimers can go a long way in regard to overstating the truth of the commercial, but it can never rectify statements that are fallacious or wrong. “No Approved Therapeutic Claims” disclaimer confuses the listeners. Food Supplement manufacturers, according to DOH often abused the use of disclaimer as part of their marketing strategies. A growing concern are being raised by the citizens on the food/dietary supplements manufacturers creates false and deceptive asserts about their effectiveness and safety of the product. Thus, the Department of Health with the order of the Court of Appeals provide changes through FDA in the use of the disclaimer “MAHALAGANG PAALALA: ANG (NAME OF PRODUCT) AY HINDI GAMOT AT HINDI DAPAT GAMITING PANGGAMOT SA ANUMANG URI NG SAKIT” in all advertisement platforms with the purpose of protecting the right of every consumer and protecting them against harm.

Supplements have been the source of vitamins for every person who wants to maintain or improve their health for a long period. Each one of them contains the most comprehensive of ingredients. It is to provide the normal diet of the person the proper nutrition he or she needs. Food Supplements can help get the lack of nutrients back to the person’s body, Thus making it a need to one’s health. These supplements come in all different kinds and forms.

Food supplements or Nutritional supplements are products taken orally to potentially increase the essential fatty acids, vitamins, or minerals deficient in the diet. The effectiveness of these supplements being taken can help determine whether it will affect the well – being of the person. Some supplements can help assure that you get enough of the vital substances the body needs to function. Some can be dangerous, especially when taken in larger – than – recommended amounts. It all boils down on how the person will react to the effects of these supplements.

Buying Decision is the decision-making process used by consumers and retailers to purchase goods and services. It is one of the most important factors to every customer when deciding what to buy. The question comes to mind, “Is this product and service right for me?”. This will help the person to think wisely and understand thoroughly the product he or she is trying to purchase. Also buying decision is the basic tool of each to attain certain goods. When consumers are buying something that’s expensive and new to the market they don’t immediately purchase the product.
