What Causes Divorce: Overview of The Factors

Divorce is happening when marriages do not work out or when people are not good for each other; many of them end up in divorce. Divorce is always a dreadful experience in a person’s life, especially a Childs. The impact of divorce has on a family is far more noticeable to the children of the family than to the parents. In today’s society divorce is like a norm of the society because most of them end up separating after small consequences. What causes divorce? There have many factors that cause the divorce, such as alcohol abuse, lack of money, sexual indiscretion, and immaturity of one or both parties. Divorce case is happening more in present comparing to the past and now a day’s people didn’t take serious of marriage. They end up divorce because of small consequences without thinking of negative consequences. A couple stays married until times get hard. Divorce is not an uncommon experience in human history and it is happening when two parties are not in good terms. This divorce was bad experience in society and this divorce effects more on children comparing to other.

Without marriage there is no divorce. Marriage is the beginning of a new family and it is one of the most important institutions in society. Divorce are happening due to the various reasons, which the fact didn’t let them live together. Divorce is a “recognized datum of modern life, though it is not always socially approved” (Allan Fromme 1969:131). Divorce is anti- social and it takes time in process of divorce. The reason for divorce process being cumbersome is to give the couple time for proper thinking and rethink about their decisions to divorce. If breaking up is hard to do, then what about divorce? Its split the partners which stay together as family and from divorce, it causes a negative impact on children. Children are future of the country and if they going negative because of divorce, it cause negative consequences in society. The divorce is causes because of lack of commitment because a person with lack of commitment may display negative behaviors within romantic relationships. The other partner who displays avoidant tendencies may be less satisfaction, less happy and be more to illness than other individuals. Alcohol is the most commonly addicted substance and that cause divorce between two partners. When one partners drink alcohol, its lead to the situation of stressful and frustrating which weighing heavy on their relationship. Alcohol attack causes violence between marriages which lead to divorce. Sometimes lack of money and immaturity of one partners lead to divorce because it will not give happiness in family.

Divorce is good from one side because it gives you another chance to live your own way and after divorce you able to restart your life with or without another partners, you will be happy again. After divorce, individual partner became strong on their way and develops personal skills which they work for better quality of life for themselves. Divorce will free you from the violence and take you out from your uncomfortable life. However, advantages are only less compare to disadvantages. Divorce can suffer an adult from psychological health which results in high levels of anxiety, unhappiness and depression. Divorce doesn’t affect only to the couple but children can feel impact too. The children might see how problematic marriage and the might end up not marrying at all. Some children suffer from depression because of the breakup of their family. Some children will have poor performance in academics because divorce of their parent is difficult for them and they may use drugs which destroy their life. Divorce also affects children socially as well. A child’s whose going through divorce may have hard time to interact with other peoples. Divorce also results in increase of health problems and emotionally sensitive. The family who experience divorce feels angry, sad, and guilt because sometimes they will feel that the divorce is happens because their parents will no longer love them and some children will blame themselves. After divorcing and breaking their family, some members of that family can be affected by having to learn adapt to change more frequently because of new family and home.

From fault theory of divorce, family is oldest and important institution in society and its play important role in prosperity of civilization which is fall under fault theory. Under this theory it is necessary to have guilty and innocent party and only innocent party can seek the remedy of divorce. From functionalist theory, it sees divorce from negative, macro point of view. A functionalist would blame divorce on the failure of social institution because from divorce, it will cause negative consequences in society. From functionalist views, the institution has not provided adequate instruction and functionalist views support the historical and traditional family norms to reduce divorce rate. The reason is in past, the divorce rate is low because people consider marriage in serious way because it play important role in society but now a day people consider marriage as not big deal. As reasons of that, the divorce rate is higher because people didn’t consider it in a serious from beginning. A symbolic interactions consider divorce from a micro level and from that point of view, symbolic interactions would say that divorce is a result of two individual that have been influenced by friends and family. From conflict theory perspective, it would say society is at fault for divorce and that individuals are choosing the easy way out.

To conclude, divorce is happening when marriages do not work out and when partners are not good for each other. Divorce is like a norms of society in present because people didn’t’ take serious about marriage and as a result divorce rate is high in present compare to past. People divorce because of small consequences without thinking about negative impact. Divorce is dreadful experience especially to children. There have both advantages and disadvantages of divorce. About merits, people will get another chance to live their own way and find their true happiness. Some are also free from violence because of divorce and also they become stronger than before. However, that was nothing comparing to disadvantages because it have mostly negative impact on children and they might see marriage as a problematic in society. It also results in high levels of anxiety, unhappiness and depression. There have four theories, fault, functionalist, symbolic interactions and conflict theory. All of four theory view divorce as different from their own point of views.
