Health is the level of functional and metabolic efficiency of human being .can be affected by various factors like lifestyle, individual differences and many more. Whereas Lifestyle is the way of living of societies, individuals, families and societies .This ways of living includes tastes, habits, moral standards and economical level and individual differences is the deviations or variations among individuals in regard to number of characteristics or to single characteristic. The aim of this article is to focus on how lifestyle, dispositional and demographic can contribute to coronary heart disease, how to identify the disease and lastly how to manage it.
Coronary heart disease is markedly more common in men than in women and it risk increases with age. This disease causes 70%Of all deaths beyond age of 75 years .The preponderance of CHD is hypertension, atherosclerosis and diabetes .CHD affects both Sex but exacting a large toll in disability and deteriorated quality of life in old age. Unrecognized myocardial infarction is common and they are as serious as symptomatic infarctions. At the age a above 64 women as vulnerable to myocardial infarction death as men. This making prone of risk factors like coronary disease, cardiac failure and peripheral. CHD is major risk to elderly because of an advanced age , total cholesterol levels are considerably high. To prevent this investigation and treatment is required for elevated lipid levels for women because they are mostly affected than men, eating a health with reduced sugar and exercising regularly.
Psychological attitudes are prospectively related to myocardial infarction. Negative or positive future expectations and mistrust are attitudes with features of personality which may affect CHD risk in many ways , by influencing an individual's maladaptive stress responding in direct altering of physiology ,adoption of health behaviors and development of traditional CHD risk factors. More adaptive attitudes like economic, social and ethnic may be favorably influence CHD risk. For those already are infected to management this disease should have high positive affect will reduce risk of all-cause mortality. Having a good positive mental attitude helps one to develop a more positive outlook and become more optimistic .This releases endorphins to reduce and increases feeling of happiness and well-being which reduces depression and stress while improves blood pressure and heart health.
Your lifestyle choices can increase risk for CHD. First is unhealthy diet, like foods with saturated fats and cholesterol are linked to heart disease and related conditions. Physical inactivity is the second factor where not getting enough physical activity leads to heart diseases and also and other medical conditions that are risk factors e.g. diabetes, blood pressure .regular physical activity can lower your risk of CHD. Thirdly too much consumption of alcohol can risk for heart diseases and high blood pressure. Alcohol increases levels of triglyceride, cholesterol which harden arteries .To prevent CHD for those who take alcohol men should have no more than 2 drink a day and women not more than 1 a day. Lastly use of tobacco increases the risk for heart disease. Tobacco damages the heart and blood vessels leading to conditions like atherosclerosis. Smoking should be avoided totally to reduce and prevent CHD.
In conclusion CHD is common for people who are above age of 64 but it also affects people with less than 64 years. Lifestyle (i.e. eating habits, physical inactivity and consumption) and dispositional (i.e. psychological attitudes, social and economic attitudes) are major factor causing CHD .we can prevent this disease easily by changing lifestyle i.e. eating foods with less fats etc. ,controlling our attitudes and for people above 64 years should go for checks and treated if they are sick. CHD is a deadly disease everyone has responsibility to prevent it.
