I was born in New Orleans, LA. I grew up in Lewisville, TX because of Hurricane Katrina. Well the state of Texas has traditionally been more republican since the 1980’s Ronald Reagan era. The election of Ronald Reagan changed the electoral map from blue to red
What race am I? I am an African-American citizen of the United States of America.
What race are most of my friends and acquaintances? Well, the majority of my friends and acquaintances are African-American or Caucasian, but I do have friends of many different other races and religions.
Do you have a religious affiliation? Yes! I do. I am a proud Baptist. I regularly attended church every Sunday like a devout Christian should? My family are devout Baptist Christian who are deeply religious people.
Do you talk about politics with your families? Yes! If it is something that is interesting and important to talk about at the dinner table. Now that Pres. Donald Trump is in the office and putting his policies in place and doing actions, whether you agree or disagree with him and his policies. We try to have civil discussions at the dinner table every day on various topics and things.
What is your party affiliation? I am a register Democratic voter that votes in Presidential, Senatorial, governor, and house of representative elections.
What is my political ideology? After taking the political I am proudly part of this racially and ethnically diverse group is less politically homogenous than most other typology groups, though a 59% majority associates with the Democratic Party. Devout and Diverse voice strong support for the social safety net and further action on racial equality. However, I have more social conservative views than my fellow Democratic-leaning groups on several issues including global engagement, views of business and attitudes on homosexuality and immigrants. Devout and Diverse would be best defined the political category defined, in part, by their faith: Most say that it is necessary to believe in God in order to be moral and have good values.
I truly believe good moral and having good values are what makes a person a productive member of society. A person’s morals and values show a person in true colors.
I believe that we actually must start talking and our differences and problems in this great country of ours instead of resorting to violence like certain groups and individuals.
Because when we start talking about our issues and problems we will find out that we as humans have more in common than our differences.
The four-core issues from the Democratic Party platform that are the most important issues I care about are.
Providing Relief from Crushing Student Loan Debt – I believe that the government should offer a moratorium on student loan payments to all federal loan borrowers that are about to leave college or in college, so they have the time and get the resources they need to consolidate their loans, enroll in income-based repayment programs, and take advantage of opportunities to reduce monthly payments and fees.
Reducing Prescription Drug Cost – I believe that the government should intervene on behalf of all proud Americans and crack down on price gouging by multinational drug companies and cap the amount that Americans must pay out-of-pocket every month on prescription drugs. We as American must force our brought-out congress men and women to prohibit anti-competitive “pay for delay” deals that keep generic drugs off the market, and allow individuals, pharmacists, and wholesalers to import prescription drugs from licensed pharmacies in Canada and other countries with appropriate safety protections. Americans must also fight to make sure that Medicare will negotiate lower prices with globalist multinational drug manufacturers. Lifesaving drug are no good if it is unaffordable to taxpaying American citizens.
Supporting America’s Small Businesses – we can grow jobs faster in America by supporting small business owners and entrepreneurship.
Civil Rights – We will always and must fight to end discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. We need to promote civility and speak out against bigotry and other forms of intolerance that have entered our political discourse. It is unacceptable to target, defame, or exclude anyone because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
Creating Jobs for Younger Americans – Because our country depends on a thriving middle class to drive economic growth and for a brighter future. Today! With extreme levels of income and wealth inequality are bad for our people, bad for our businesses, and bad for our economy and younger Americans.
