This project is about us as human beings. It explains how we learn, and our personalities through quizzes. It is important to be Safe and Aware in college because most jobs in the future will need a college degree, or at least a bachelor’s degree. VARK learning styles are all the ways we learn. There are 4 letters, 2 of which will be your strongest and the last 2 your weakest. My results were, V and K as my strongest; My weakest were A and R. The V means I learn best visually. I would be able to recognize a picture if I learn it. The K means kinesthetic learner. I enjoy learning by moving a lot, I must keep moving in order to concentrate well. The A means auditory learners who learn best by listening, which is rare. I was weak in that category. At last, the R means reading/writing learners who prefer to learn writing notes and reading over them. I can improve my weak points by studying together with a small group. This understanding of my learning preferences is what makes me special and enables me to tailor my approach to education and personal growth.
There is multiple intelligence that shows our abilities in life. We use all 8 intelligences every day. I have some strengths and weaknesses in my multiple intelligence results. My top 2 were Body/Kinesthetic and intrapersonal. For example, I am athletic and need to use my touching senses every day to improve and use my “body/kinesthetic” intelligence. My “intrapersonal” intelligence is used and improved by thinking, but also being alone. My weakest points were naturalistic and verbal/linguistic. I can improve the “naturalistic” area by going out to study or collect objects in nature. However it may be difficult because I enjoy only certain type of weather. My “verbal” intelligence can be improved by reading and studying every day.
We all have unique personalities in this world and different preferences. Do you know a way to know your personality? There is an assessment known as the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). There are 4 categories that make your personality “you”. The 4 categories are the focus of attention and energy, acquiring information, making decisions, and lifestyle orientation. There are two letters you can get for every category. The first category you can be an introvert or extrovert. In the second category, you can be “sensing” or “intuition”. In the third category you can be a thinker or a feeler. At last, you can be a judger or a perceiver.
My results were as I expected on the MBTI assessment. My code was ISTP. As an introvert, I get my thoughts from inside my mind, while an extrovert gets them from the outside world. I think a lot instead of seeing it outside of college. My second letter was because I prefer to sense instead of letting my mind decide for me like an “iNntuition” person. For example, I rather learn by grabbing the paper. My 3rd letter was thinker because I use logic to make my decisions. I do not let my feelings decide whatever I do, I think about what benefits me. My last letter was perceiver which means I am not organized like a judger. I do not plan days ahead for college. That shows that my personality can relate to college a lot.
Based on the code you get from the MBTI assessment you get a temperament. The temperament shows how you communicate and act. My code was ISTP which means I am an Artisan. I am different on my good and bad days. For example, I take risks and challenge to learn. When I feel bad, I normally play soccer to avoid it and feel relieved.
