'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

Anxiety is a natural reaction that sets in a dangerous situation that poses a ‘fight or flee’ dilemma is perceived. As you prepare to take one of the two routes, i.e., standing your ground and fighting the danger or taking flight, your heart starts to beat faster, pumping more blood to various muscles, breathing becomes quicker, and you go into a general state of high alert. All of these reactions are vital when you are in peril. However, when the body begins to react like this even when there is no danger, then you end up exhibiting extreme reactions on a regular basis. Here are a few common types of psychological conditions that cause constant anxiety:

  1. Phobias – An unexplainable terror associated with a specific object or living being that causes the body to go into emotional overdrive.
  2. General Anxiety – Worrying all day long about many minor issues for more than six months is referred to as General Anxiety Disorder.
  3. Social Phobia – A condition that assails those who are awkward and uncomfortable in public. Such people find it stressful to even be in a room full of people.
  4. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – Having witnessed a disturbing incident like a war or an accident can usually trigger PTSD which involves having nightmares, and being irritable and depressed.

General Anxiety that lasts for long takes a toll on the patient’s health. Being stressed all the time means that your body is continuously producing the stress-related hormone known as cortisol. The presence of large amounts of cortisol leads to hypertension and kidney, heart and reproductive system disorders.

It is possible to stop yourself from spiraling down the General Anxiety alley by adopting some of the suggestions mentioned below:

  1. Avoid Caffeine – It is a well-known fact that excessive consumption of caffeine can make a person nervous. Too much caffeine can trigger depression and general anxiety in the long run.
  2. Exercise Every Day Without Fail – Exercising is not just great for your body but also very therapeutic for your mind. The adrenaline that is produced by the body due to physical workout is sufficient to chase away any anxiety blues that you are battling.
  3. Practice Meditation and Mindfulness – Yogic breathing exercises, tai chi, and other similar activities can help you achieve a calmer inner self that is more resistant to anxiety.
  4. Consult a Specialist – Specialists in psychological illnesses can help you by prescribing medications that prevent excessive anxiety as well as recommending methods like behavioral therapy to beat stress.

If you find yourself panicking several times a day over things that are not so scary, then you must consider speaking to a specialist and including the suggestions mentioned above in your life.

What can be improved
The essay on the "Lowdown on Anxiety and How to Cope with It Better" is well-organized and has a clear focus on defining anxiety and suggesting ways to manage it. The essay begins with an attention-grabbing introduction that highlights the prevalence of anxiety and the importance of managing it. The body of the essay is divided into two parts: the first part explains how anxiety is a natural reaction that sets in during dangerous situations, while the second part focuses on the different psychological conditions that cause constant anxiety. The essay's conclusion provides practical suggestions for managing anxiety, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional help if necessary. However, the essay could benefit from more specific examples and additional sources to support the claims made. For example, the essay could provide specific examples of how anxiety affects people's daily lives, such as difficulties with sleep, relationships, and work performance. Additionally, the essay could benefit from including more sources to support the claims made, such as research studies or expert opinions. This would increase the essay's credibility and make it more persuasive. Furthermore, the essay could provide more context on how anxiety affects people's lives and relationships. For example, the essay could discuss how anxiety affects different age groups or how it manifests differently in men and women. Including this information would make the essay more comprehensive and informative. In terms of grammar and sentence structure, the essay is well-written and easy to follow. However, there are a few areas where the essay could be improved. For example, in the sentence "Anxiety is a natural reaction that sets in a dangerous situation," the word "sets" should be changed to "sets in." Additionally, the sentence "It is possible to stop yourself from spiraling down the General Anxiety alley" could be rephrased to "It is possible to prevent yourself from experiencing prolonged anxiety by following some of the suggestions mentioned above." Overall, the essay provides practical suggestions for managing anxiety and is well-organized. However, the essay could be improved by including more specific examples and additional sources to support the claims made and by providing more context on how anxiety affects people's lives and relationships.
