Nurses are truly the backbone and frontline of a healthcare industry. It is recognized as a stressful profession due to organizational factors. Nurses had to care for a patient’s physical and emotional health, they evaluate how the well treatment is going on. Stress is very common in our daily lives and in all professions either, similarly stress is founded in health professional practices too which leads to sometimes demoralization which is defined as hopelessness which in return is hazard to professional values and leads to exhaustion. It is always necessary to keep encouraging nursing staff at the hospital so, that they won’t feel entrapped. On other hand, emotional job stress was linked to higher distress and demoralization compared to no job stress and high feeling of entrapment compared to both organizational and no job stress among senior nurses. Sometimes, stress is a source of depressive anxiety that includes up nervousness like being in a new place or having a first day in a new environment. Encounters anxiety to be socialize with new people is another reason to be stressed out. The degradation by patients can cause anxiety or feeling of entrapment which results emotional stress among nursing staff. Favoritism and not having a friendly environment takes nurses to another anxiety level to be distressed and demoralized.

Encouragement and appreciation of nurses builds confidence to improve in their daily performances at hospital otherwise due to lack of appreciation and award it leads to stress and demoralization and downfall is seen in working efficacy. Low income or payment leads to lack of enthusiasm in working organization.

The profession of nursing is considered as a profession that contribute a lot of stress which mainly occur due to working environment, management of organization which results in feeling of distress, anxiety, emotional stress, feeling of entrapment and feeling to escape from adverse situations. It also causes the feeling of locked up and unable to untie yourself from stressful situations. The stress in this profession can lead to demoralization, feeling of hopelessness, feeling of rejection and incompetence. Adverse emotional outcome vary from person to person depending on environment you’re working. This is the most caring profession among all, so in this profession need to be stress free. Job stress facing the workload and having conflict, facing accusation from patient and family, it also lead to emotional stress. These organizational stress leads to psychological stress. Feeling of hopelessness and helplessness causes demoralization

Sometimes, nurses are being judged by their personal outlook due to cultural and religion they belong to being human first is significant to treat better as human by showing gratitude to other personnel. Age and gender discrimination is one of the biggest cause of stress and demoralization especially for seniors who have devote tenure in the field. Workload and shortage of staff also leads to anxiety and stress and also efficacy of work is disturbed including chance of errors increases. Lack of knowledge about new technology usage of equipment lead to distress and demoralized by other members. Teasing and harassment by other paramedical members also results in negative respond and poor efficiency in work and individual become distress. The aim of study is to identify more job related factor which enhances demoralization and distress and anxiety among hospital nurses. The study points to demoralization is a promising line of research in hospital nursing. Many other factors are still pending which affect and causes demoralization and distress among nurses is still needed to be explored to overcome anxiety and entrapment and to stop nurses being psychologically disturb.

Demoralization is demotivating, hopelessness, feeling of the lack of confidence. It weakens the moral values of life which has been reported by many researches and studies done on the healthcare industry. This anxiety causes others to feel weaken in spirit of confidence. Demoralization and distress is health care industry leads up to the more stressful and mental health issue that are needed to be solved. 

The related topic regarding demoralization and distress has further researches shown some approved or refined topics over the measurement of demoralization by self-identifying them. Demoralization is non-adaptive response as loss of hope, encourage, confidence to weaken the morale values of life. In current research and conceptual reviews, analysis on the differences between the demoralization, depression and highlights the finding that there is a level of overlap between these construct. In an association to this research, the interior credibility of point of comprising two factors: “meaning and purpose” and “distress and coping ability”.

The organizational and emotional stress leads to psychological stress. However many appears physically and emotionally worn out in work. Eventually, these individuals experience caregiver burden defined as physical and emotional health resulting from caregiving demands or feeling of emotional exhaustion. Caregiver are associated with negative experiences for both the staff and resident in care homes, choosing and reducing caregiver burden should be a priority. High level of caregiver burden may have an impact on staff turnover, which in turn has a negative impact on quality of care provided. The feeling of entrapment does not let you work properly and affect your ability. 

Morale distress is the emotional state that arises from situation when nurse feels that ethically correct action to take is different from what he or she is tasked with doing. In health care profession moral distress can lead to poor patient care, diminished job satisfaction and more attrition among nurses taking care for ill patients who are suffering both physical and emotional pain at end of life increase moral distress. Distress occurs when an individual’s moral integrity is seriously compromised either because one feels unable to act in accordance with core values or obligation or attempted action fails to achieve the desired outcome. Conflicts between health professional’s values and their perceptions of different attitudes of health care organizations can produce demoralization.

Depression is to be recognized as psychological and biological heterogeneous. Nevertheless, there are also certain features that are common to many depressed and stressful states. A depressed person can experience symptoms that make it demanding to act confidently in their current environment. These include; detachment, loss of energy and interest, loss of positive effect, distress, hopelessness, poor concentration and impairment in other psychological abilities, negative ideas about self, the world and the future, social withdrawal and retardation and breakdown in behavior and emotional bond with tendency to avoid depressed people. In biological domain there can be sleep disturbance, loss of appetite, weight loss, changes in circulation rhythm, changes in hormone and neurotransmitters. An early idea suggested that depression helps conserve resources. Depression is a time when relationship and jobs are more likely to be lost than conserved. Theories of depression need to be able to offer explanations for paralysis of depression. The demoralization includes change in behavior and mental and the negative view of the self.
