Healthy eating and cooking is one way to keep not only a healthy weight but a healthy lifestyle. People need to try to eat healthier because of the obesity epidemic coming on. The more people eat at fast food restaurants the more unhealthy they become. If people eat healthy foods then they will have more energy and be more active.

People who eat out every single day tend to be either overweight or obese. Obesity can lead to many health problems down the road like heart failure, heart attack, and sometimes even death. A healthy weight is a good thing because it keeps you from having health problems and helps with mobility. If you eat out everyday at lets say McDonalds then the fat in their food with build up in your arteries and your cholesterol will skyrocket and eventually you’ll be broke. The lesson to be learned here is not to eat at fast-food restaurants everyday but once in a while as a treat.

The obesity epidemic is coming on rather quickly and it is taking the lives of our fellow americans. Obesity is defined as having too much body fat. This is brought on by eating too much fatty, fried foods. More than one and third americans are overweight or obese because of fast foods. The estimated annual cost for obese people is $147 million in 2008. Obesity is a preventable thing if you just eat the right food and make better choices.

If people eat healthy foods like salad and grilled chicken instead of french fries and cheeseburgers the will have more energy and and they can be more active. The healthier you are the better you tend to feel. People who are healthy tend to be more active and do more activities like walking and running. Other activities healthy people do includes swimming, playing sports, and having fun. Eat more healthy foods if you want to do fun things.

In conclusion to this paper if you eat healthy foods and exercise a lot then you can avoid obesity and other health issues. Obesity and being overweight are the second leading cause of preventable death in the US close behind smoking. Other things that arise with obesity is Coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, Cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon), Hypertension (high blood pressure), Stroke, Liver and Gallbladder disease,Sleep apnea and respiratory problems,Osteoarthritis (a degeneration of cartilage and its underlying bone within a joint) and Gynecological problems (abnormal menses, infertility). The moral of this paper is that if you eat healthy then you will avoid serious health problems down the road.
