Stress is the ability of the human being to adapt to new and different situations. These are divided into two groups: eustress, "good" stress that allows us to adapt, and distress, "bad" stress that can generate pain, one is positive and the other is negative. Both represent the ability of the body to adapt to the situation. To put it in a simple way, if you are warm in your house and go out into the street, where it is cold, your body adapts to the weather. This is something positive. Looking at it in another way, for example when moving or another country that generates stress; that change or clash with the routine, where there is something that interrupts, abrupt or not, but that generates a stress situation.
Then, the adaptation is unconscious and depends on the quality of the defenses that each one has. In the positive case, the person ends up adapting and seeing the way to find a house, having friends and thus adjusting to the situation. The second one is negative, it is when the person does not adapt. Then we have the different types of stress: chronic, acute or acute but sporadic, or episodic. In the chronic there is a stress situation that is always experienced, there are even people who do not realize that what they are experiencing is just stress. Then he gets sick and lives completely upset and out of it. Usually, they attack the body and that causes them to have constant health problems. These people can not adapt to that change and you have the one that can adapt to that change with acute situations (it would be when the stress is acute).
But now, if we talk about the Work, which is the place where we spend several hours of the day and is where we face a situation in which we can, or not, be prepared. In this case, stress can be triggered by several issues, as well as something psychological, such as the environment and the relationship we have with the boss.
Generally, they are those figures who understand people as a number and forget that they are human beings. More than anything is represented in a type of traditional boss, they are strict, rigid, demanding, closed: there they ponder the hierarchies, they are defined by work, they pretend that their employees marry their companies, etc. But fundamentally, they forget to consider your psychic and emotional part. Then people have to deal with the environment, the boss, and the work. This is opposed to the new leaders who do consider the emotional part.
Burnout Syndrome, also known as the "burned head", refers to a person who lives stressed all the time because of his work. That is, someone who all the time his psyche is trying to release defenses against the situation he suffers in the workplace and for which his defense fail, ie, "for the battles he waged every day." Then he is always altered or in a state of discomfort in his work and can not adapt to the uncomfortable situation he lives there.
