The entrance examinations are just round the corner and with the results of some of them declared, the candidates and their parents are facing a prevalent dilemma of choosing between Government College and a Private college.
Although it is a common state of mind of keeping the Government colleges at the utmost priority, some of the top private colleges confuse the candidates while making the decision about their education. But this decision has to be taken carefully as it will not only determine how and where they are going for the next 3-4 years of their life but will also have a huge impact on their life.
The two can be compared keeping in mind a lot of characteristics, the important ones being:
Government colleges, since are funded by government trust funds, costs much less and hence are affordable by a wide range of economic conditions.
Private colleges, on the other hand, face their expenses with the help of its owner and his partners with little or no trust funds. Hence, they tend to cost a lot. Not everybody is in a condition to pay for it.
Since Government colleges do not need to attract the crowd by parading itself, they pay little attention to its infrastructures. Therefore, we see Government with buildings 100s of years old. They even have ill-equipped labs and lack the modern technologies and aids for teaching.
Private Colleges have to be presentable to the candidates for it needs to keep itself on the run and pay for itself. Thus, they pay special attention to its infrastructures and facilities. We can see that they are always up to date with the trending technologies and hence, look for the better serving of education to its students by keeping them ready for the fast pacing world.
The Government colleges give a surety of degree with no scope for fraudulent cases. The recruiting companies also trust the candidates offered by government colleges as only the cream population has the privilege of studying in one. Thus, admission in government colleges comes with a surety of a job too.
In case of private colleges, there are a lot of unsure and insecure issues that come with the admissions. Even though the top colleges offer security but with the presence of external factors like the change of government they are not able to give a 100% secure future.
We may decide to go to any college, but before judging by whether it is a government or a private one, we should do our own research and select the one which aligns by our academic goals and financial condition.
