The communication strategies for my health care organization include; creating a pro-communication culture, patients need information, support and resources when to assist them in managing their health, when the above is provided health outcomes are likely to improve. Expanding the use of patient management technology, this is a tool that helps healthcare organizations connect with their patients on a daily. The other strategy is using engagement communications to monitor patients and intervene when necessary; this helps the healthcare providers in detecting issues early and handling them in time.

Enrolling patients in a disease management program is the other strategy when this is done communication between patients of a particular disease and healthcare providers becomes easy, efficient and fast. Tailoring communication in order to arm patients with information that is more specific to certain diseases, this enables healthcare organization to provide managed and targeted information to fully engage and to provide the necessary support to patients.

Internal communication networks include intra-hospital communication which is mainly communication among employees and patients of a particular healthcare organization. It is important since it encourages employees and patient’s participation thus ensuring a comfortable hospital environment since none of the parties feel left out. External communication network includes inter-hospital communication which is mainly communication between the hospital and the outside world. This ensures that expertise is distributed using facilities like video conferencing thus enabling remote consultation.

Stakeholder analysis is a tool used for identifying key stakeholders in a particular project, understanding exactly where they stand and developing teamwork between the stakeholders and the project team. It involves the following eight major steps; planning the process, selecting and defining a policy, identifying key stakeholders, adapting the tools, collecting and recording the information, filling in the stakeholder table, analysing the stakeholder table, using the information.

Healthcare organizations are working really hard to effectively utilize social media as a way of engaging patients and consumers. By using the internet to connect patients and healthcare providers, accurate information is provided and marketing techniques are implemented where possible. Some of the other ways that media will be useful in my organization include; training medical personnel, comparing and improving quality, communicating in times of crisis and giving live updates during certain procedures. My organization will have a unique logo that is quite important in the following ways; it will reveal my organization’s identity to the outside world and in doing so invite new customers, distinguish my organization from my competitors, facilitate patient’s loyalty and it can also be used as a marketing tool since it can be placed anywhere.

Also my organization will have a good tagline since it will help in setting my organization apart from other organization in the same field. It will also tell the key benefits of my organization in just a single statement. The newsletters will have the following elements; telling a story, giving a face to my providers, educating about service lines, providing contact information, graphic elements and keeping it updated.

External environmental analysis is being aware of the wide range of forces and trend likely to impact my organizations external environment such as political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors. Internal environmental analysis its main purpose is to understand an organization in depth and it will be based on the capability and resources needed by my organization. Strategic choice is a decision that will determine the future strategy of my organization. I will follow the following process in making my strategic choice; focussing on alternatives, analysing the strategic alternatives, evaluating the strategies and finally making a strategic decision. Strategic goals are the planned objectives that my organization strives to achieve. The goals should be specific, measurable, actionable, responsible and time-bound. SWOT analysis will be conducted in the organization so as to identify its internal strength and weaknesses as well as eternal opportunities and threats. Marketing initiatives will involve cross-functional team members when creating marketing content so that it is created in a collaborative way rather than each department creating its own content. The marketing strategy of my organization will be evaluated after we have started serving people through the following methods; evaluating the return on investment, monitoring our progress and comparing our strategy to competitors.

Community outreach plan is a tool that is used to describe a message that is specific in nature in order for communication between my organization and the public to take place. Elements to developing an effective outreach plan include; having a good understanding of the target audience by knowing what unites a community and what is really important to them. Being proactive by explaining what is in store for the community. Establishing community partnerships by collaborating mutually with organizations already serving the audience I will be targeting. We will have to engage the community in face-to-face meetings. We will have to be responsive by engaging the community early in the process since most people like supporting their own ideas. Community diversity issues will be addressed by ensuring there is effective communication, treating everyone equally, respecting and tolerating other people’s diversity and also by acquiring and institutionalise cultural knowledge.
