One of the best names in newspapers and media is none other than Elon Musk. The person that many young people take as role models and inspire them recently got into a very bad accusation from his own employee - Martin Tripp. Individually responsible for one of the most important leaks in Tesla's history, Tripp, 40, formerly of Sparks, started working as a process technician in Nevada Gigafactory in October 2017; currently participating in a legal battle with Tesla and living in Hungary. Tripp told the online publication Business Insider that Tesla was generating large amounts of industrial waste and using parts that had been damaged. Tesla countered with a lawsuit that accused Tripp of, “stealing confidential and trade secret information and disclosing it to third parties, and by making false statements intended to harm the company.”

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

Tripp will go down in history as one of Tesla's most accusers, along with Karl Hansen and Sean Gouthro. He is responsible for delivering materials from one of the most prestigious car companies today - Tesla. The site called for an investment fund for his campaign against Tesla Tripp saying 'I'm an ordinary American. I don't have much money, and they're trying to take away what I have and don't leave for We will, and won't, let that happen. 'and' Please help us fight this machine! '

Tripp commented further: “They’re trying to do everything they can to silence me and trying to set an example so that no one else will talk to the press.” The suit affirmed that Tripp had 'unlawfully hacked' Tesla's manufacturing operating system (MOS) – composing code that would trade secret data to outsiders and planting the code on three diverse PC systems with the end goal that different representatives would be 'dishonestly ensnared as liable gatherings'. The grievance additionally blamed Tripp for making 'false cases to the media about the data he stole', and explicitly referenced cases about punctured battery cells, an overabundance of scrap material, and manufacturing delays.

But Tripp, a former process technician at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nevada, leaked information to a reporter at Business Insider because no one at the company was listening to his concerns. “When it’s world impactful when you’re lying to the world and investors about the cars you’re producing and how sustainable you are when you’re saying one thing and doing another, the righteous thing is for the world to know,” Tripp said by phone. Tesla has rejected Tripp’s claim to be a whistleblower and challenged the accuracy of the information he provided to Business Insider.

Despite the public's determination, he repeatedly affirmed that he wanted to avoid media attention by moving to Hungary. He is not afraid of the consequences of publicity, only that will distract attention from the problems revealed by his revelations. Despite these fears, he still hopes his outing will not turn his attention away from the content of his disclosure. He really wants to focus on these materials and the debate that I hope will activate among global citizens about the kind of world we want to live in.

Tesla sued Tripp in June for allegedly hacking and disseminating trade secrets to third parties, ED as well as spreading false information to the media about the company's inner workings. Tesla is also accused of participating in unauthorized supervision of his employees, according to Tripp's complaint summary. Tripp claims that Tesla has installed a dedicated router device on the Nevada Gigafactory system designed to collect employee phone contact information and/or retrieve employees' mobile phone data. when Tripp was fired. Hansen, Tripp's agent also stated that Tripp was supervised by Tesla even after the former employee was fired.

'I never thought that my job with such a large public company would lead to the discovery of such problems and be bothered by Tesla's very unusual reaction to people like me. investigated them, 'Hans Hansen said in a statement. 'I am also very concerned about Tesla not respecting the privacy of its own employees. In my opinion, Tesla's actions have put investors, the public, and Tesla employees at risk. that lighting up Tesla's activities will cause appropriate government action for the company and its management. '

Tripp has maintained that he is simply trying to publicize the issues he sees at Tesla's Gigafactory. He said the company was accused of using a damaged battery in some of its Model 3 cars. He also said the company produces and mishandles a lot of scrap materials. (Tesla declined both requests.) He filed a counterclaim on Tesla in July, alleging that he was libeled by Musk and the company. In that statement, he argued that he did not hack the company's software and the information he shared with reporters was true. Most recently, Tripp shared photos and screenshots of Tesla's internal documents and emails and a list of customers' vehicle identification numbers (VINs) on Twitter to try to corroborate his claims. about the use of broken batteries and the production of scrap materials.

Tripp finally spoke publicly that he is actually a whistleblower trying to reveal safety flaws and internal waste. He said he was tasked with “the inventory of the stator line” and that was when he first became concerned. He said: “When the cultural norm is to not care and continue building bad products, there’s something wrong there. Any manufacturer I’ve ever been and would never allow for this. Since Tesla is running on investor money, it made it more concerning. In May it became immediately concerning when I was again tasked with an inventory of the battery stuff and found huge discrepancies (100’s of millions of dollars), and then the punctured cells.”

His former boss, of course, engaged him with gusto. “Threatening me only makes it worse for you,” Musk replied. Later, he wrote: “You should be ashamed of yourself for framing other people. You’re a horrible human being.”

“I NEVER ‘framed’ anyone else or even insinuated anyone else as being involved in my production of documents of your MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF WASTE, Safety concerns, lying to investors/the WORLD,” Tripp responded. “Putting cars on the road with safety issues is being a horrible human being!”

Tripp also said that he never told a friend that he planned to “shoot the place up.” His statement came in response to a Tesla spokesperson saying that a friend of Tripp’s called them and said he was threatening to shoot up the Nevada factory. The Storey County Sheriff’s department visited him and decided there was no credible threat. Tripp stated that the only thing he said to friends was ask if they thought he really was a hacker. There’s nothing on social media right now that is verifiably attributable to the Martin Tripp listed in the lawsuit. In fact, the closest we can find is a listing on Google for a profile on LinkedIn that has since been either scrubbed or removed.

As a result of the lawsuit, some people online are now questioning whether certain media reports were published as a result of information allegedly shared by Tripp. For example, this was pointed out on Twitter. The question is in reference to a story published on June 4, 2018, by Business Insider. The story states that Business Insider was given internal Tesla documents and an employee who wanted to remain anonymous shared information about the company. The unnamed employee said that hasty manufacturing decisions were made and there were “continuous problems.” The employee went on to say that a misprogrammed robot that handled battery modules “repeatedly punctured through the plastic housing … and into some battery cells,” and some were fixed with adhesive instead of scrapped. The “punctured battery cells” line was specifically cited in the lawsuit as an example of misinformation the lawsuit claims that Tripp shared.
