Should School Switch to Electronic Textbook to Save Money and Paper

Most of the college using the electronic textbook which purchase from some website or using the PowerPoint nowadays. A traditional textbook is made by hundreds of pages of information, but all of this information is being write on the paper. It is harmful to our environment and costs higher for taking all pages of the paper to write a textbook. Which one are you prefer to? Is it an electronic textbook or a real textbook?

The problem is here that take too many pieces of paper for making a textbook. For instance, a normal class of college will have 40 to 60 students in the class. A textbook will have 200 to 300 or even more pieces of paper. You can know that how this will be damaged to our environment, cost a lot of money and its weight. Thereby, some of the students have known that purchase an electronic textbook from some website like Amazon, Kindle, and so on will cost half or even more of the original textbook.

I recommend that switching all of the textbook to the electronic textbook, it is not merely reducing our money, it also saving our environment by reducing waste and decrease the amount of paper used. As the matter of fact, some of the lecturer are not permit that using electronic textbook instead of the traditional textbook. This will cause not only hurt the environment, it hurt the student’s wallet too.

Moreover, when a book almost 2 or 3 kilogram will result in portability which are damaged to the spine or feel exhausted about carrying the heavy backpack. So, an electronics textbooks can instead the heavy book ,also it make sure that you will not forget to bring the textbooks.

In addition, when you used the textbook and keep it in the stores will wasted on average at least 500 pieces of paper. Most of the traditional textbooks will keep updating to the new versions, this will lead to the traditional textbooks can only used in that year you bought. Furthermore, the old traditional textbook ends up in a trash or recycled, but, if you look in detail about the electronics textbooks they nearly zero waste and considerably affordable. Hence, what are you still hesitating for switching? You can highlight, take note or bookmark like the traditional textbooks you do, it provides the same knowledges of textbooks in electronics textbooks.

Great majority of college indicate that they still want to use the standard textbooks, it is because some of the college are making profit based on selling their textbooks. It only reasonable that they want to sell their textbooks to you. Yet we cannot unchanged, time flies, these college need to changing their mind and using the electronics textbooks. Of course, they cannot earn much money, but it can reduce the shipping fees and keep them in bookstores too.

In the final analysis, electronic books are better option when learning. They save our surrounding and environmentally friendly. They are cheaper than the traditional textbooks and do not costs so much compare to the regular textbooks. Not only they have these advantages, they give you instant access to all of the information too. This is why I choose the electronics textbooks contrast to the traditional textbooks.
