Digital Marketing Strategy

A marketing funnel- For the retail business to be successful, it would be necessary to have an effective marketing funnel. A marketing funnel is defined as mapping out a customer’s journey from the time when the customer has no knowledge about the business to when they become a lead, and then put initiatives that would encourage them to through the funnel. Various measures such as lead magnets, offers, and call to action can be effective for a marketing funnel (Chaffey 41).

Creating awareness is a component of a marketing funnel that enables a customer to know about the existence of the company and its services or products. There is the need to recruit more people in the company, an indication that the business owner has to strive and create awareness on the company. The prospective customers may be looking for a particular product or service but they have also visited the new website for a reason. Various strategies such as a lead magnet or call to action can be used to give the customer a valuable resource that has links to the company products. The company may also ask for valuable information from the customers such as their email address and cell phone contacts. It is an opportunity to find out more about the customer and there reason for visiting the company website (Chaffey 42)

There is the need to build interest in the customers and employees who have shown interest in the company. Business owners may experienced a challenge of finding people who are talented to take the business the next level. After giving the lead to the business, it is then important to supply those who have shown interest in the company with further information about the specific needs. Giving further information may avail the right people to take the business to the next level. Showing the prospects that the business can take time to know them as well as having something specific to their needs would be a sign of commitment to the needs and wants of the customers and employees.

Upon supplying the prospects with the relevant information about the products they need, it would be necessary to create the desire to obtain what can fit their needs. It would be important to invite the prospects for consultation via emails or call to action. It is necessary to tell the prospects about the items that they may be interested in. Showing the customers what they need and the reason why the product would fit their needs is beneficial to the company as many customers would opt to using the website because of how the company responds to the needs of customers.

The final step of the marketing funnel is the action step. It is the next step towards purchasing a product from the website that the business owner intends to launch. The step involves turning a potential customer to a lead. During the step, it would be important to discuss matters such as price, payment procedure, and other aspects of the product that may be relevant to the buyer. Effective marketing funnel could also turn the leads to repeat buyers; thus, would help in building a customer base for the business that intends to increase its activities.

Digital Marketing Mix of Tactical Activities that can be Implemented to Achieve the Strategy

Digital marketing mix revolves around the factors that are controlled by the company to influence the purchase of its products. Promotion of the new business website, which is yet to be launched would be aimed at creating awareness about the existence of the business and its products in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company would control tactics such as direct mail and electronic mail as the awareness marketing strategy. Other tactics such as broadcast advertising, mobile marketing, and social media advertising would be helpful in ensuring that the business moves to the digital platform.

Reaching the right target market upon going digital can be implemented by proper coordination of the tactics in order to avoid brand and message confusion. Any little effort that is put in the marketing of the company in Dubai must not be influenced by external factors. Integrated marketing mix ensures that there is a logical connection between the marketing channels that also leads to consistent messaging and branding across all activities. To gauge the productivity of the digital marketing mix, I would be appropriate to measure the effectiveness of the marketing mix tactics.
