Why Education is Important to Our Society

Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”("Malcolm X Quotes pg. 1"). A variety of people around the world dream of being Doctors and politicians; however, they have no evidence to prove how qualified they are for a particular position. Some may have thought college wasn't necessary; others felt it was too expensive. However, college automatically opens the door to your future career. There has been a variety of famous people who didn't attend college; how it is more likely to be successful after attending college. College automatically increasing income over time, it provides you with the opportunity to do what you love, and enough knowledge to be successful mentally, physically, and emotionally. College education automatically increases your income. According to the government, "College graduates with a bachelor’s degree typically earn 66 percent more than those with only a high school diploma; and are also far less likely to face unemployment". [1] The following quote proves that hard work pays off when you can prove your committed, dedicated, and hard working. The government has also stated, "An average homeless person make $15. 00 an hour; it's not guaranteed". The quote proves if you end up homeless; you're not guaranteed to receive even one-fourth of the former college student. College provides you with the opportunity to do what you love.

During college, you're allowed to major in whichever field you feel the most drawn. If you start majoring in a particular field, and, you soon realize you don't like it; simply contact your adviser and change it. According to the Center for Education Statistics, "About 80 percent of students in the United States end up changing their major at least once(Center for Education pg 1)". Which shows that students change over time as well as their interests. There's nothing wrong with a change of thought. Make a small change now; will prevent regret later. During college, you'll develop a variety of strategies that will lead to your success. During college, you'll develop the ability to work in groups, better working strategies, and also everything needed to know in regards to your major plus more. "The number of students projected to attend American colleges and universities in fall 2018 is 19. 9 million, which is higher than the enrollment of 15. 3 million students in fall 2000, but lower than the enrollment peak of 21. 0 million in fall 2010 [1]". The following quote provides an idea of all of the students looking to improve their skills, income, and live better. If they can do it you can do it. Start today; be done tomorrow. In conclusion, college automatically increasing income over time, it provides you with the opportunity to do what you love, and also enough knowledge to be successful in general. Going to college is a commitment that will allow all of your dreams to come true. It won't be easy; but, it will most definitely pay off in the end. Before you know it, you'll be doing what you love at the best of your ability. Before you know it, you'll look back knowing your dream came true. Before you know it; you'll be fulfilling your life purpose. Go to college, graduate, and be effective.
