Science is important for us humans because it simplifies our universe into terms and numbers that we can understand, describe and use to our benefit. In a way, it makes it not too big and vague - not too difficult or impossible. As long as humans existed on earth, they needed to know and use what they find in their surroundings to help them be safe and able to survive the harsh environment and to gain benefit and make use of it, and as they got better and better with time as they gathered skills and knowledge through trial and error, they started creating small villages that turned into cities all over the world. Humans had started a big civilization that made them need more things in life and everything became more complicated. Humans needed to build houses, they needed roads and bridges.

All these building items are a small part of what architectural engineers can help build nowadays. So, to do, so they require to know a vast information range in science, physics, chemistry, and sometimes biology, depending on the situation. simplified, science is like the alphabets. You need to know and memorize them first to help you create words and sentences. It's like the solid foundation you need to help you with your future studies in any kind of engineering. Imagine you build a building on thin glass? Will the foundation be able to hold the building it in place? (knowing that the building is heavy? ) of course not. This is like trying to study engineering with no science. Simply it's not possible. In history, modern science started with Italian scientist Galileo, it's not because of what he discovered, but the way he made his discovery. Today's young and old scientists follow in his footsteps by going through the important steps he established in his career. They must first observe, then build a hypothesis and then deduction and finally confirming experiment. Science evolves through time with humans discovering new things every day, this means that some things are not impossible anymore - new things now exist and there are new solutions to old problems that the previous scientist couldn't solve. Engineering is linked to science, so it also should go through change and evolve and improve over time. Engineers should be able to design, build and maintain buildings easily and efficiently given certain resources and constants.

Engineers combine and integrate the physical and natural world's scientific knowledge and create solutions and sometimes new useful knowledge to share. Engineers don’t sit back and watch, like scientist do, they make things happen. Engineers apply the principles of mathematics and science to help develop some of the important economical solutions to some technical problems. Engineering as we know it today is a new profession, it only started around the year 1750 as a result of the industrial era. Their work is the link between scientific discoveries, and the commercial applications that meet societal and consumer needs. People that begin to do something over and over for the benefit of mankind till they have a result are called engineers and they earn designation not because they were the first to do it. Engineering is a key driver of human development. Many engineers develop new products. In an advanced technological world, humans need engineers to bring useful ideas into our reality. By applying the principles of mathematics and science, engineers develop solutions to the world’s biggest technical issues. Sometime inventor and engineer are used to describing the same person and that is correct because he requires both knowledge and does both functions. Because engineers need the understanding of materials properties and behaviours in order to manipulate them and create built environments. they depend on on science to understand these materials and develop ways or mechanisms to use them in a way that improves our lives and existence. Science vs engineering, this argument is debatable. To try and have a solution for it we must understand and know that the different between an engineer and a scientist. While science and engineering have their own distinct goals we can say that science is a tool of engineering. Scientists aim to know things and expand human knowledge, while engineers aim to do and create solutions to ease life and make it more comfortable.

So logically, there is a lot of intersection between these two fields and both have a lot in common. As scientist work in their field, they often have to design a scientific experiment in an engineer way and using engineering mind-set and tools. Engineers too use science as their main tool they every so often contribute to scientific knowledge in the course of their work. Because of this overlap, there is a lot of flexibility and fluidity between scientists and engineers. And even with our human nature to put things in a box and title and separate everything apart, many people could be both scientist and engineers. Besides each field are encouraging their specialist to venture in the other’s field so that scientists are expected to be engineers too and engineers to be scientists. So which is better? Scientists or engineers? Each field have their own opinion. Scientist think they are better and engineers do the same too. But both of them are wrong since they can’t function without the other. Science and engineering are both important to develop technology in the society. If a person wants to choose wither they want to have a degree in either engineering or science. They should understand that they will not lock themselves in one field or the other. Whether they want to solve real-world problems or answer deep questions about the universe, they will use tools from both fields at the end. And at the end we have to understand that scientists and engineers are critical for technological leadership, and therefore essential for the world’s economic strength, national defence, and quality of life.
