Many times, we are inspired by the people we are surrounded by. When I was quite young, my aunt who is a nurse, changed the bandages on my injured hand, taking care of me. I admired her for it and from the age of eight I knew I wanted to be a nurse, just like her. As a nurse, she had so much passion for helping people who could not help themselves to recover from illnesses. The reason why I wanted to become a nurse is because it is so rewarding to make a difference in someone’s life. It is a career that helps you save lives. It brings happiness to individuals and their families, and comfort those in need. Nursing is not for the faint of heart and requires a lot of sacrifice and patience. I am a person who likes to get challenged. This allowed me to have a better understanding on both the medical side and practical side of this filed.
