The Reasons Why The Community Needs to Start Up Against Bullying

Bullying is an issue that impacts every school, not only in America but all throughout the world. Bullying is harmful to children because it lowers their self-esteem and makes they feel weak and powerless, it makes children feel unhappy with who they are, and bullying can cause harmful results in these children’s future. Bullying is something that typically happens in grade school, but I can also carry out through their lives into adulthood. Bullying is important to me because I was bullied in school just like many others were too.

Bullying is a very powerful thing because it lowers many children’s self-esteem which causes them to feel very weak and powerless. There are mainly two different kinds of bullies, there’s the bully who takes your lunch money and then there’s the bully who calls you names and pick on you. This type of bully is the more common bully. When someone picks on you like this it makes you feel as if you have no control and can damage your self-esteem.

Along with lowering your self-esteem bullying can make many children unhappy with whom they are. It can make them feel as if they are not good enough for their peers and make them have lower standards for themselves. It can cause their work to become a struggle and make them less motivated. All and all bullying can make a child change from what they once were.

Along with bullying making people feel unhappy with themselves, it can also cause harmful results to their futures. In many cases bullying can lead to depression or sometimes a child can grow up to be socially awkward. Bullying can also create problems with a child’s relationship to people. It can also cause the child to have trust issues toward other people and bullying can affect the way a child talks or acts toward other people. Many people do not realize the long term effect bullying has on a child.

Bullying is a problem that has been happening for a long time now. Although a lot of actions have been taken to stop bullying, very few of these actions have been successful. Bullying is harmful to the children because it lowers their self-esteem and makes them feel weak and powerless, it make children feel unhappy with who they are and bullying can cause harmful results in these children’s futures. I hope one day I can become a teacher so I can teach the generations to come why bullying is wrong and the harmful effects it causes. I hope these can be children like me who were once bullied who can overcome it an realize that they are stronger than they think they are like I have.
