In the recent years most people have adopted sedentary lives whereby, they spend most of their time in the house watching the television, playing video games, overall limited physical movements. What they these individuals fail to understand is that they are putting themselves at risk of developing serious conditions such as obesity, heart disease among other health issues. The most affect group involves individuals within 15 – 35 years whom are usually referred as the youth. Exercise is the best thing that one can do for the body considering the many benefits that come with it. Activities such as swimming, jogging, cycling, and brisk walking are examples of good exercises that one can give the body. It is essential that you take part in such activities regularly to ensure that you are physically fit. There are numerous benefits that one gets from a regular exercise such as increased cardiorespiratory performance, balance in the pulse rate, and improved health among many others. This paper seeks to establish the significance of physical fitness and provide a list of benefits associated with engaging in regular exercises.

People who spend most of their time resting and yet they are consuming high fat content foods tend to add a lot of weight which may have deadly side effects in future. Engaging in physical fitness activities in an individual helps in a variety of things including reduction of weight, prevention of diseases, and improvement to the physical appearance (Caspersen et al., 2018). It’s not a matter of doing push-ups and sit ups, but rather having a regular plan that would help enhance the body’s ability to respond to different stress factors. Weight control is one of many benefits of staying fit and having a physical routine; Weight control aids in being able to control metabolic syndrome, which are different groups of health issues that can lead to heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes.

Research has shown that increased inactivity is a major cause for additional of weight. To know the relationship that exist between exercise and weight loss one needs to understand how energy is produce and used in the body (Caspersen et al., 2018).The body spends energy in three ways be It through digestion, exercise, and to maintain normal body functions such as heartbeat and breathing.

If you identify the kind of activity which best fits you are more likely to derive fun as you engage in it. For instance, swimming is an example of an exercise and if you do it for passion other than just for practice purposes you are more likely to enjoy it, look at Michael Phelps. Swimming was a hobby that he turned into a career and making him one of the best to take up the sport. Regular exercise is known to improve mood in and reduce the chances of suffering from anxiety and depression. Physical activities help regulate the parts of the brain that regulate the stress and anxiety levels in an individual. Additionally, exercise increases the production of endorphins which enhance production of positive feelings and diminish an individual perception of pain.

Exercises strengthen an individual’s muscles and to build and maintain strong bodies demand that you make physical fitness a priority. Physical activities such as lighting objects may stimulate muscle building when paired with consumption of proteins. That is because it allows absorption of amino acids that promote muscle growth, it helps them to grow and increases the rate at which they are broken down. People suffering from various medical conditions as well as the healthy require exercise to boost their energy levels. According to most studies, six weeks of regular exercise may help reduce feeling of tiredness in two weeks. Also, for people suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) exercise is of essence. In fact, exercise is a better treatment method for CFS than any strategy.

It Can Help Reduce the Risk of Chronic Diseases

Chronic diseases are mainly caused by lack of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Insulin sensitivity is improved through engaging in regular exercises. Additionally, cardiovascular fitness and body composition reduce the blood pressure and the fat levels (Caspersen et al., 2018).A significant increase in belly fat increases the risk of getting type two diabetes and that why engaging in regular exercise in crucial to in making sure there’s not high levels of exposure to such diseases. Chronic diseases are common among the elderly, and that they are also encouraged to do some bit of exercise every day to ensure that they do not accumulate a lot of weight.

It Improves Skin Health

When we do exercise the sweat pores in the skin opens up allowing the air in and out of the skin. As a result, the skin relaxes and grows more radiant. At times the skin gets affected by increased amount of oxidative stress in the body. That usually occurs when the body oxidants are not able to completely repair cause by free radical cells. If that happens it may lead to damage to internal structures and destruction of the skin texture. Even though extra or exhaustive physical activities may cause oxidative damage ensuring a moderate exercise my increase production of natural antioxidants

It Boosts Brain Health and Memory

Exercises improve way the brain works and also boost an individual’s thinking abilities. To ensure a healthy brain, a great amount of movement and physical activity are recommended. Study shows that individuals who engaged in various activities such as ball games, swimming, golf tend to be first in thinking and formulating mental ideas than those who are not as mobile and physically fit. Exercise increases the rate at which the heat bests and this enhances the supply of oxygen in the brain (Pandolf et al., 2017). Additionally, exercise stimulates the production of hormones that promote growth of brain cells.

Increases Relaxation and Sleep Quality and Reduces Pain of Chronic Diseases

To improve your quality of sleep and the number of hours you can have good sleep requires that you adopt an exercise schedule to guide you. People who ensure regular exercise experience improve sleep patterns and they are more relaxed. Additionally, in regard to sleep quality an individual experiences energy depletion as he/she engages in a good exercise habit, therefore will increase a higher possibility of falling asleep. The additional of body temperature increases the need to sleep. In fact, it adds sixty five percent of sleep quality. At times chronic pains may be debilitating but engaging in regular exercises may help reduce it. Initially, it was believed that chronic pain required one to rest and stay inactive (Ekelund et al., 2016). However, new study confirms the opposite to be true. Moreover, studies show that exercise may be helpful in controlling the pain felt when suffering from various medical conditions.

Ensures Better Sex Life and Improves Quality of Life

Exercise is a proven method of improving an individual sex drive. The cardiovascular system is strengthened through exercise (Pohjonen, 2014). Additionally, engaging in regular exercises help improve blood circulation within the body which is good for sex (Rasmussen et al., 2010). A study involving forty women found that they experienced orgasm more frequently when they engaged in regular exercise. Some people consider exercise to be time-consuming and tedious and fail to recognize the value that it adds to their lives. When you engage in activities that reduce weight you protect yourself from osteoporosis in life. Research shows that 40 million adults experience falls every year which in most cases result in breakages and injury. If we made regular exercise a habit for our younger generation, they would be more stable, protect themselves from breakages and twists and live a healthier and longer life.
