The techonolgy that we have been using today cannot be reached without process. There was a long history to reach these technologies until finally we can enjoy the benefits of the technology.previously, in the mid-20th century the letter was used to make a long distance commnication. It needed a long time until it arrived at reciever. Mobile radio was first introduced for military communications, and then in 1983 mobile technology was introduced in Indonesia for the first time using Advanced Mobile Phone Services (AMPS) technology. In 1993, the second generation 2G had come to indonesia with data services for mobile. Starting with text message and conversations were digitally, there is a transition from AMPS technology to GSM technology. At the same time three BTSs were buit, one in Batam and two in Bintan and in 1994 satelit palapa indonesia has become the first GSM operator in indonesia. In 1998 during this time the internet was becoming popular and data services were becoming prevalent .and then 3G networks are cellular network that have data rates of 384 Kbits/s and more . however, even this technology developed fastly, the communication devices were still expensive and just rich people that can used this stuff. After three until four years later these devices were able to use by many people and it caused internet rental or called “warnet” appeared in so many places especially in metropolitan city. In 2010 touchscreen mobile phones were exploded and 4G LTE was coming.

Right now the networks are heading toward 5G. It will be able to handle a thousand times more traffic than today’s networks and it will be up to 10 time faster then 4G LTE. You can download a movie under a second. 5G will be conected with so many devices and will be the foundation for virtual reality , autonomous driving, Internet of Things and stuff that we cannot even yet imagine. There are three most part technologies mmWave, small cells, Massive Mimo. In fact, All of 5G still in progess and it is expected launch in 2020.
