Ray code of ethics comprises of ten rules of ethical behaviors and conducts that govern the operations within and outside Ray Bakery premises. The ten elements that make up the code of ethics ensures that the employer and the employees work towards achieving the best for the organization. The elements are geared towards ensuring the building and maintenance of the organization’s reputation.
Make food that is safe for consumers. The company should make sure that the products released to the market are safe for consumption. Therefore, employees concerned with the production process have to ensure that the production process is sterile and the ingredients meet the food standards of the local authority.
Market responsibly; this is designed to ensure that the organization does not gain undue advantages over other existing consumers in the market. Employees tasked to market the company products should not be allowed to defame other competitors. Also, there is need to treat people fairly. The organization has the role of ensuring that the senior employees do not mistreat their juniors. This would promote togetherness and harmony among the employees and thus productivity.
Respecting the free market is also another important element that Ray Bakery strives to uphold. The marketing team will compete with other firms on fair grounds. Moreover, the company would ensure that it competes fairly with others without raising or lowering the process to gain undue advantages. While carrying out the production process, Ray bakery should respect and preserve the environment by minimizing all kinds of pollution (Sulaiman et al., 2016).
Moreover, Ray Bakery would also ensure that it relates well with the outside stakeholders by dealing honestly with the government and keeping honest and transparent records. Ray company would obtain all the necessary license and permit for operation. The good records would ensure that accountability is achieved. Also, all employees are obliged to stand on behalf of Ray and never trade on inside information. This would help in building a company that can compete favorably in the market. Besides representation of the company, employees are expected to show total loyalty to the company. Complete business loyalty would help build team leaders among the employees and thus improve the performance of the company.
Based on the nature of the elements of a code of ethics above, they mainly target the employer and the employees. Therefore, the implementation of the elements is aimed at improving the productivity of the company by ensuring cooperation between the employers and the employees and the competition with other firms is favorable. Furthermore, the elements are also aimed at ensuring that the company products meet the required standards, and the production process is environmentally friendly.

The employers have a lot to gain from the implementation of the code of ethics since the formulated code of ethics makes positive changes in the organization. The employee will have job security, fair treatment, and appreciation of their hard work. Benn et al. (2014) argued that in a company where the code of ethics is seriously implemented, the employees would stand a good chance to gain the reputation and profits that the company would make. Also, the good relationship created between the employees and the employer would give the employee the advantage of job security and fair treatment. Thus, the employee has all the reasons to stand by the codes of ethics set by the employers.
Compliance with the elements set by Ray Bakery top management is an essential element towards achieving the success of the company. The company compliance committee is responsible for ensuring that the elements are communicated and observed by all the target groups of employees. The daily routine of supervision and implementation is delegated to all senior management members. The assurance of the compliance is monitored and reported to the top management after a set period. Employees, on the other hand, are expected to report any breach of the elements.
