Snapchat was founded and created by Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy, two Stanford University students. They were convinced that smileys were not enough to transmit the emotion that a person might be wishing could be sent with a text message. But they were also nervous that a quick snap of a phone camera showing a particular emotion might end up being inappropriate for a social media site where the picture could be possibly for others to see and what the people actually do with the picture.

Snapchat isn’t your typical boring social network. Plus, thanks to those updates over the past few years, Snapchat is so different these days. For example, it now lets you replay snaps, aka those photos or videos that you received from friends, an unlimited number of times, and you can always screenshot those pictures if you want to save them. Snapchat had recorded that 71 percent of Snapchat users are under 34 years old and nearly 77 percent of U.S. college students use Snapchat every day!

Twitter is much a part of our everyday life. You can't go wrong with Twitter, it's much like Facebook but you can actually express your feelings to your peers and people that are actually your age. Facebook is like old people twitter. People send tweets for all sorts of reasons: vanity, attention, shameless, or just because of boredom. Many Celebrities use Twitter to build a more personal connection with their fans. The coolest thing about twitter is that you can actually keep up with the news. Twitter was founded by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams on March 21, 2006. Instagram was actually developed by Facebook, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Instagram is mainly about posting photos, basically it wants to grab your attention and keep you hooked. This app is very similar to twitter and facebook. When you post a photo or video on Instagram, it will be showed on your profile. Other accounts who follow you will see your posts in their own feed. Likewise, you'll see posts from other accounts whom you choose to follow. Just like other social medias, you can interact with other people or accounts on Instagram by following them, being followed by them, commenting, liking, tagging and private messaging. Instagram is all about visual sharing, so everybody's main intention is to share and find only the best photos and videos. Teenagers should be very careful with these 3 apps, especially teenage girls. Today many girls are being stalked by older men. They are using fake identity to go after the young girls and sexual assault them. Many girls don’t really take precaution before posting those kinds of pictures, or even thinking about sending them. You never know what would happen with the photos or maybe videos. Many tragedies are happening around the world such as, sex trafficking, suicide and kidnapping. Social media gives them a wider audience for both.
